The new GlacialTech Cooling Pad is the best way to keep your laptop cool. In order to achieve the best cooling performance, GlacialTech redesigned the four types of M-Flit series Cooling Pad in the title of S1, M1, L1 & Z1 which fit laptop up to 17 inches to include a patent-pending Air Flow Wing, repositioned fan, and wave shape. This combination of features optimizes circulation to let hot air flow up and away from your laptop. The USB-powered Cooling Pad can be used comfortably on a desk or in your lap. The M- Flit series has a very minimalistic metal and plastic design that looks good in any home or office. Its thin aluminum & plastic body features a mesh pattern, with plenty of holes to let air flow into the bottom of your notebook, while its back props the pad (and your notebook) up at about a perfect-degree angle, both to increase airflow and to give users a better typing position.

In fact, it is one of the attractive looking notebook stands/cooling pads that is available in the market with slim and smart design for a various notebook models. this 'S1' looks extremely familiar to Zalmans NC1000 cooler

maybe Zalman are selling them to GC and GC are rebranding them...

other then that.

*mega yawns*

Its hard to get enthusiastic about this shit unless they come up with something more orginal then rebranding and selling each others products - heres an idea - try making a laptop cooler with a phase change cooling unit underneath or something.

I lol'd :) don't ask me why.

I need a better laptop cooler however, and these look better than my Logitech N100

Man these laptop coolers would appeal a lot more if they were designed a little better... what's with the use of super restrictive grilles?

I know right? considering the only time its going to be on, your laptop will be on it, theres hardly even the need for a grille at all. I could see a cooler selling well with a ~200mm fan and no grille/a very thin/low profile one.

And both look very much like the NOX Scirocco, which I think has been around for longer than these...

Still not big enough for my laptop. I had my laptop up to 95c cpu + 85c gpu while playing a game with it on my lap.

from what I have seen looking a few of these lately, is that the main features are getting it off your legs or adding a more ergonomic angle to use on a desktop. Cooling is almost a second thought that just adds about 4*C cooler temperatures.

Any of them that actual do any significant cooling are going to cost you $80+ to obtain, and at that point its almost too expensive for cooling a lappy.
