Feeling lucky? Want to win a GeForce 8800 GTX graphics card, an NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI motherboard, or perhaps 2GB of high performance DDR2 system memory? Starting December 22nd, you have 365 chances to WIN SLI-Ready hardware! It's simple, easy, and open to everyone who has an SLI-Ready or SLI-enabled PC (in qualifying countries*). Prizes include an XFX 8800GTX, a BFG nForce 680i SLI motherboard, a PC Power and Cooling Silencer 750 Quad, and 2GB of OCZ DDR2 PC2-7200 SLI-Ready Edition Dual Channel RAM.

To register for the giveaway, simply go here if you own an SLI ready desktop, and here if you own an SLI ready notebook.

Here's how it works:

Every day for a year, between December 22nd, 2006 and December 21st, 2007, NVIDIA will give away one SLI-Ready component to someone with an SLI-Ready, or SLI-enabled PC.

Each day, NVIDIA will draw a winner and post the winner's name here on SLIZONE.

Winners have exactly 7 days to contact NVIDIA and claim their prize - if they don't, they lose the prize and it goes back into the hopper!

To register, simply go here if you own an SLI ready desktop, and here if you own an SLI ready notebook.

sweet. Hope lady luck is with me.

Oh crap. They actually do a system scan :(.

edit: can someone with an SLI capable motherboard sign me up please

clever bastards! you cant win anything if you dont already own nvidia stuff. so go out and spend a few hundred on their hardware and enter to win a chance at free stuff that you most likely wont win!!!

for those of you who already own sli-ready hardware...screw you!!

Well I have an Asus A8N-SLI Premium motherboard, and it doesn't work for me. Maybe they check driver versions?

Perhaps you must actually have two cards in SLI for this to work, it isn't exactly SLI-Capable if you don't have the two cards to do SLI? I am glad I haven't sold my second 7900GT yet, now where did I put that...

EDIT: Never mind, it seems that you don't need two cards, just one SLI capable video card. So it won't work if you have an SLI motherboard and not an SLI video card(such as an A8N-SLI Premium and an X1900XTX).

What does SLI-Ready mean?
An SLI-Ready PC is a PC built using an SLI-Ready NVIDIA nForce motherboard, and one SLI-Ready GeForce powered graphics card

Which I find odd, since if you have an SLI capable Quadro card you are left out in the cold.

I like the contest, NVidia rewarding it's current customers, they are known for doing this.

EDIT: Damn, I just got home and it won't work because I don't have the right driver version installed, now I have to install the buggy as hell 93.81 drivers and uninstall the superiour 97.28 drivers. Oh well, I guess it is a small price to pay for the possibily to win free stuff.

Damn, i hate such kind of contests!!!
Why is it always only the northern half???
Here in south-america are a lot of hardware entusiasts!
IT'S UNFAIR!

And they say that this is no hitch! Such BS!

As always, people in Japan are automatically disqualified. If they are trying to award their customers and looking at their bottom line sales numbers, they will see that JAPAN is right at the top for buying NVIDIA hardware.

These winning stuff from the US is always BS. They can sell their products here but they cannot give products away? WTF!!!! Anyway, I bet it is a carrier issue. Fedex or other services probably charge too much outside or maybe it is the inspection costs at the customs.

So they should do this winnings locally. Instead of 365 days of winnings, how about a month of winnings but the registration and winnings will be done at the local country so their is no overhead of sending products directly overseas and the politics involved.

Anyway, It just gets 80 percent of the world pissed off just because of where they live.

Damn, they do a system scan so if I want to enter, I have to mod my Ultra-D to SLI-D...damn.

In certain countries and states? In about all countries I'd say. And what exactly is restrictive? Shipment within the EU isn't restricted, you can freely import stuff within the EU. So I wonder why 4 EU countries are included and the rest is "restricting" their contest.

SLI mobo but no Nvidia gpu. Meh.

something smells bad having to change drivers...

Well to be fair, the drivers I use normally aren't made for my card, so switching back to the drivers made for my card isn't really that bad.

My guess would be there is some kind of stupid tax on prize winnings or prizes given away in those areas that they don't want to deal with.

so the yea the first winner was annouced today and it wasn't me (big supprise). Seriously tho it'd be kinda cool if I won
