Long time Fatal1ty brand partner OCZ Technology showed off its latest range of DDR3 DIMM modules carrying the Fatal1ty Profess1onal badge. The module uses OCZ's Blade 2 series heatsink, which makes it slightly taller than conventional modules, and helps keep the module cool at high voltages. It is expected to be available in DDR3-1600 speeds, and optimized for Intel Sandy Bridge processors. Here, it's pictured on ASRock's P67 Fatal1ty motherboard.

To please the marketing d@#kwads who think that having a Fatal1ty sticker on a hardware item makes people buy it, I shall not buy anything which has that branding.

Forget about the brand. DDR3-1600Mhz is low tho. If it was at least 2133Mhz RAM with very tight timings, it would have been interesting.

I dont think it's the Fatal1ty sticker that people buy them for, the Fatal1ty design on a whole is quite nice imo, don't like the look of it thats fine just don't buy it. DDR3 1600 is fine, seriously what benefits aside from benches do you see going from 1600-2000? not a lot, from 1333-1600+ there is quite a noticeable difference, also depends what timings they use and the ic's they could clock very nicely for all we know.

I like the look of them, would be nice to get some more specs/prices and see how they OC.

at least the heatsink is pretty

I hate brandings like Fatal1ty or an other that came with personal nick. I think that Johnathan Wendel has nothing to do with those memory sticks. They just paying him for use his nick.

There were too many Fatal1ty branded products:
- Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty, headphones and Fatal1ty mouse
- Abit Fatal1ty series
- Zalman Fatal1ty cases
- XFX Fatal1ty cards
- Asrock Fatal1ty motherboards
and now OCZFatal1ty memory sticks?

Do they think that if you brand some product "Fatal1ty" it would magically be better than other?
Don't get me wrong. I respect Johnathan Wendel as a best game player and a celebrity in gaming world but this is just too much.

There are other famous persons in gaming world that can be used as names for product line. If someone give a name for card like:
"HD6950 Carmack Edition" or "GTX 460 Peter Molyneux" that would be cool.

@ to all IT companies
Remember that the idea to use name of the head of ID software was mine :)

what is the latency of memory?

it should be cas 6 at most to be interesting

:shadedshu

EVen if these memory modules were insanely awesome, I wouldn't buy them, and if they were given to me I would rip the sticker off or cover it with vynl tape.

They do look sexy though...

And how much do they cost? That's likely to be the biggest "Fatal1ty" here.

i think they should start branding stuff by hot porn stars, then i might be intrested! tighter timings the better ;)
