With Nintendo opting to use Opera for web browsing on the Wii, Samsung has now taken a similar path. Opera Software today announced that it is working with Samsung Electronics to make the mobile version of the Opera browser available on Samsung mobile phones. Opera Mobile uses Opera's small-screen rendering technology to improve the appearance of websites on mobile screens. It has not yet been announced which phones this browser will work with.

Opera is a great browser and I like this idea. The fact that Nintendo is using it with the Wii speaks volumes. I wish PS3 would use Firefox!

FIREFOX FTW!!!!

Knowing sony marketing style if the ps3 has web surfing capabilities they will make their own browser

Well, as you can run Linux on it you can probably run whatever you want on it.

I read somewhere that it is predicted that in 10 years computers will be obsolete because you can do everything you can do with a computer on your cellphone. Sounds cool but you'll never be able to download copious amounts of pornography or blow people away in DX20 with a three inch screen.

nothing can beat Opera on mobiles!
