ATI Vice President and Managing Director of Europe, Middle East and Africa, Pete Edinger, has left the company after 11 years of service. He wishes the firm all the best and feels that the merger between AMD and ATI makes sense, saying "the new AMD will enable a lot of opportunities for our industry to drive the market". Edinger was respected by the press because he was nearly always available for a chat and he is likely to stay in IT. Alberto Macchi, president of AMD Europe, will take over his position.

Yeh bullshit, he knows something and is getting out before it effects him. Just like all these other big execs in the news.

Get ready for a new graphics card company or Matrox to step up in 2007

Somehow I'm not surprised...

This is getting juicy...

Quit looking at that like its negative. We dont know his reasons for leaving and speculating the downfall of the merger is just ludicrous. On a side note, it is very weird that he left after 11 years, but maybe he didnt have the swagger he used to or they clashed over ideas. Thats what I think! :toast: :nutkick:

I don't think he was VP for 11 years, I think he worked for ATI for 11 years, but I might be wrong, just in case that news post causes any confusion.

hummmmm.... didn't they just get subpoenaed... oh yea they did:D

in most cases after a merger ... you can't have duplicate personel.. so guess who gets the door?

That's what everyone does on this site. People here need to cheer up. Enough with the Hatorade.
