I just installed the Fatal1ty Titanium edition, I've yet to figure out how to close the loop that "What U Hear" creates.

In other words, my input (mic) is playing back my output (speakers). The software device What U Hear is picking up my output and relaying it to my input and I can't find a way to disable it.

I've got the FlexiJack set to microphone, my default recording device in my sound manager is the microphone on the Creative SB X-Fi device.

When I un-mute the microphone levels from my creative audio controls all i hear is the feedback loop from the mic signal and when i playback something (i.e. music, video) it plays it back through my mic and creates a loop.

I really need a solution to this mess.

I'm new to the whole X-Fi thing so if anyone here has had the same problem, any help is welcome.

Scratch that, for some reason the card wouldn't accept the mic if it was plugged all the way in, like the card wasn't capable of having a stereo out on 3.5mm jacks. After i put the mic in mono so to speak it worked fine.

I have had the same issue all yesterday with XP and Vista till today i decided to try the Windows update ones which finally give me the Flexijack option ( under Audio Control Panel ) then you just select Microphone.

I take it you got it from Egg to on sale huh ?.

Well glad it works mine would not work regardless how far it was plugged in.

I have mine set up like so. Oddly enough I already had a SS of this from helping someone else with this same issue.

Yeah AsRock, I got it on the egg sale, $65 off was too hard to pass up and I got a set of Turtle Beach HPA2's to go with it.

INSTG8R, while the loop that I was getting from the connection could be muted using that I still needed to find the cause of it, because otherwise it was just covering it up. When whatever applications I would use would superficially un-mute it whenever I needed to speak, it would just pull up that loop again.
