TechPowerUp today launched its new and improved online review database after a couple of days of community testing, an expansive record of over 36,000 PC enthusiast product reviews compiled, from every "Today's Reviews" entry added so far. We transitioned from an archaic "tree" based review browser to a robust in-house product review search engine. This is accompanied by an easy to navigate category browser. "We found the idea of a highly functional review browser essential to PC enthusiasts as they reach for their wallets to buy something," said W1zzard, editor-in-chief, TechPowerUp.

The TechPowerUp Review Database (or /reviewdb/), begins with the main search page. Here, you'll find a large search box, which searches instantly as you type, listing out products, categories of products, and their publishers below. You can also select what kinds of results you're looking for, to streamline your search. The second component, is the category browser, that lets you manually browse through the various categories and subcategories to find what you're looking for, and also discover things in the process. Reviews are sorted in a variety of ways, including based on popularity. This database couldn't have been possible without friendly cooperation between members of the PC hardware review industry, and coordial exchange of review information between us. Our readers are encouraged to make use of the wealth of information contained in the database for more informed purchases. We'd like to hear any comments or suggestions that you may have.

You can also get there by clicking on "Review Database" in the Databases menu on the site.

That was my favorite part. Geeks FTW :rockout:

Very nice, W1zz.

impressive another TPU tool help the world

TPU: not a website, it is a concept!

CHEERS

Awesomesause! :respect:
Great work W1zzard, as always. My thanks to all involved in this project.

Much better than the old one

Freaking. Awesome.

I hope other sites not currently on the list will add their support as well. Noticeably missing are PcPer and those little-read sites by Kyle and Anand.

I understand the project is still in it's infancy, but I'd love to see a couple things:

1. Clickable Date/Popularity ordering (descending)
2. Drop-down menus for each manufacturer/website within each category.

Some combination of the above would be great.

I really dig this, W1z and co. It shows you're all about giving the all-around view of a product; not restricting the views of those that primarily visit your site. For that you continue to be worthy of tremendous respect. Much appreciated. Whomever said TPU is not a website, but an IDEA was spot on. From the features in GPU-Z like disabling power throttling, to bios programming/databases, to bringing together outside opinions on products...That does seem a methodology that other people should be envious; the whole truth. Keep on keeping on. :rockout:

Thanks, Well Done

Nice.
Just a suggestion though:
Why eliminating the words "trust level" at the top of the green bar?
well, we that have been long enough in TPU would understand without the words. But for the newcomer, surely the green bars are confusing enough for them to guess what that green bars means.

Me like! I took it for a test drive and am very impressed! Thanks W1Z :respect:

Another priceless feature from TPU. :rockout:

I have a suggestion though: could we have TPU reviews show up on the top of the list? I think most people coming to TPU are at least a little bit more interested in reading the reviews made here first.

Excellent!!:)

Very useful.

This iz excellent, thankyou Wizz and to the ppl who helped him:toast:

This is cool!! Thnx team TPU!!

Nice.

We didn't eliminate it. Mouse over the green bar for a tooltip. :)
