AMD FX ''Zambezi'' Processor Box-Art Revealed

Agreed.
However, I must post this: "Oooooooh! Look at that nice box design! I wonder if they will just sell me the box
so I can play with it and look at it's greatness!!!"

That 'quote' only works on eBay and probably already on sales ;P

Box looks like a juice product

Mmmm zambezi juice
Mix it with vodka and your good to go :D

But I do care less about the box, just like everybody else.. and is quite eager for perf numbers

I think the box looks good. Which isn't good, cause it will sit on my desk for 6 months just so when I give my eyes a break I can look at it along with the other ton of random crap on my desk. This processor better not disappoint. If the box looks this good. I can see flaming about how they spent more time/money on the box if this turns out to be a fluke.

Looks like a kool-aid box.

It definitely looks like a design i would find on a juice box lol.

Looks great though, nice and colorful.:)

That box is...

Oh crap... What do you all recommend for cleaning my Zambezi juice out of the sofa?

I have forgotten what my Phenom II boxes look like, what I haven't forgotten is their performance. I dunno about most CPU consumers but I make all me decisions on performance, value, affordability, and long term viability of the processor before I ever even see the box. My hope is that "Zambezi" is great... I'll wait for the specs and benchmarks.

They use the word "mega".

Are we sure about this?

Looks like I will be going to AMD shortly ! Man 8 cores !! I just hope they are smokin fast !

Its funny.
AMD kills the ATi brand while adopting the ATi red & white color scheme.

Just tell us how it performs already. Who the hell cares about a box that you are going to tear open 3.2 seconds after getting it home?

wow it takes you that long :P :).

Brand recognition, AMD users will look for it on the one hand, while a ATI user will see the package and identify with it.

Plus it pulls away from the Phenom "black" stigma.

Yeah, I prefer the Thermalright boxes too! :))))))

it reminds me of firefox..

hmm nice box design/art/color.

I wish the CPUs also has some color coating instead of the stupid silver over copper and would be cool to have a transparent heat sink to show the color of the ihs of the cpu.:D

day dreaming

I agree with that, they wish to leave the ol' days behind a bit, and "start a new chapter". At least, that's what I guess they do.

Plus it pulls away from the Phenom "black" stigma.
Then they should get rid of the Black Edition moniker ;)
It just looks stupid that they put BE on a white box. :p
The AMD FX series itself already implies unlock multiplier.

Its funny.

Zomg you're right!!

You know what this all means!!

Secretly ATI is taking over AMD from the inside...soon all AMD products will be revived under the ATI logo and Catalyst will rule our systems for the next 1000 years!!

The Japanese Homefront game is right!! Its not North Korea taking over the world, its Canada!! And ATI is leading the charge!! The great "Eh" revolution is upon us!! Quick, find all the comics who have made fun of Canada all these years!! Maybe we can appease them before its too late!!
