When I got the Crosshair IV Extreme in October I was able to get to 4.0 really easily. My VCORE was somewhere around 1.46, my NB was close to 2300 MHz, and RAM was at 1525 MHz. I was stable in Prime (8-9 hours), but the initial BIOS for the Extreme was not so great. In December I flashed the latest BIOS, which solved the problems I was having because of the initial one. I just started working my way back to 4.0 recently, and I'm stable in Prime (9 hours) with the settings in the table below, but when I jump up to 4.0 GHz, Prime fails right after I start it, every time has been because of a rounding error. I've had my NB at 1716, 2002, 2288, and 2574 MHz, with the voltage as high as 1.25, and I've taken the VCORE as high as 1.5. The RAM is at 1525 MHz. I've tried a few other adjustments, but nothing has worked. My System Specs are up to date. Any help with why I can't seem to get back to 4.0 is greatly appreciated.

I made some changes in Bold. Make sure that you are using an 8 pin CPU power connector and not just the 4 pin. You really will want to run your CPU/NB speeds higher, especially running SLi so there won't be a bottleneck.

Your CPU might just need a lot of voltage for 4ghz. This seems to be somewhat common in the 1055T reviews.

I'm using an 8 pin connector.

My 1090T needs somewhere around 1.42 - 1.44 core volts for 4000mhz.

I've tried from 1.38125 all the way to 1.50 at 4 GHz.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll give it a shot later.

I made all the recommended changes (in bold in the table). Started prime and it failed right away. Then I bumped my VCORE to 1.475 and blue screened right after Windows loaded (pic below the table).
