Its been about a week then I decide to livestream using this computer but...

First I tried plugging my mic into the computer and then the VU meter on windows doesn't do anything when sound goes through my mic and my livesteam application does not pick up any sound either.

Second I try plugging my mic through my video/audio capture device with no luck either. Also the problem is not the mic because its only a couple months old and I used it with another computer easily.

Any ideas?

Microphone boost on and did you manually turn the mic volume up ? Any chance you use MSN messanger ?. That has a sound setup in that.

Another thing that comes to mind is the mic enabled ?.

Don't the soundcard detect when you plug in the mic ?. Maybe uninstall the sound drivers and get newer ones or just reinstall them with the mic plugged in.
