How are we going to use the x8 slot when the 8800s can only be used in a x16 slot?

physics cards (no not one of those crappy aegia things, a gpu)

ati demonstated 3x x1900's a while back with one for physics, so natrually, nvidia's gonna do it too

they do look good but gigabyte does have a habit of overdoing things a bit, i mean, quad bios?, quad lan?, they took the whole quad thing a bit far (though some might find these useful)

damn you ktr stop posting while im typing lol

Quad BIOS seems something different, check this: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/FileList/NewTech/2006_motherboard_newtech/how_does_quad_bios_work_dq6.htm

while QuadLAN seems interesting, with my dual lan mobo i don't need to have a hub between the 2 computers, with quad it will be more interesting.

that board is a beautiful:roll:

Yes it is =) If you look it too long, you'll see that it has WAY too many colors, but somehow it makes me smile :p
Every new mobo seems to have heatpipes and lots of copper, well you kinda notice it from the price too, but wouldn't mind owning one.

much better than the heatpipe artwork that asus has...

the thing i like about g/b boards that they cram so many features to there board...

it's because they use light vivid colors (light blue, yellow, orange light green etc.), personally i like the black pcb with few colors ;) , but it's all a mater of marketing

I may build me a C2D rig just because of this beautiful mobo. Quad everything, good lord thats TNT in a small package!!!

Gigabyte love you all, three cheers for Gogabyte!

whats the deal with all these damn mobo's looks like a bag of skittles threw up on it if i was gonna get a new mobo id prob just get the evga one because it was black.

seriously a color scheme would not be bad but now it seems like most motherboards are starting to look like they belong in a gay pride parade

and what the hell do u need quad bios for do they mean you can save like 4 diff bios setups and choose which one to boot?

lmao.....never seen a gay parade...so i cant comment on that...

it would be nice for mobo companies to make the higher end product in diff. colors....give the customer choice of color on the same mobo...that would be a modders dream...sure it would cost more $$$ but let the mobo companies eat that for its loyal buyers...
