Growing in popularity, Chinese graphics card designer Colorful is ready with yet another graphics card design, this time based on the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 GPU. Called the Coloful iGame560 Ymir, the card is based on a revision of the company's "shark-fin" cooler design, while retaining the GF114 PCB the company used on older GTX 560 Ti graphics cards. The iGame560 Ymir PCB uses high grade components, 6+1 phase VRM, and redundant BIOS switchable from the rear panel. The "normal mode" BIOS runs the card at NVIDIA reference speeds of 810/1002 MHz (core/memory actual), while the "turbo mode" BIOS runs the card at 850/1050 MHz.

The iGame560 Ymir comes with an optional accessory called "Air-kit", which is a detachable heat pipe that draws heat from the main heatsink out of the case through the rear panel, and on to a small heatsink that passively dissipates heat. The Ymir model uses a beefy fan-heatsink that uses a large and elaborate heatsink, which is ventilated by two fans. The card is available in both 1 GB and 2 GB variants. Apart from the Ymir, Colorful also released the iGame Ymir-U 1 GB and Ymir-U 2 GB, which use a slightly more compact cooler that uses a circular heatsink with radially-projecting aluminum fins and a copper base. The Ymir-U cooler makes do with a single fan. On the Ymir-U cards, turbo mode runs the card at 830/1050 MHz.

OMFG i getting to like Colorful more and more with each release lol

this card has certainly got the looks

go Colorful! I really like the looks of their cards, and I do wonder how effective the air kit will be, if at all....

What the fuckity fuck.

impressive love the heatsink

i think their original design is already cool enough, adding those "Air-kit" will only make your case eat more space on the back..

I wish that they'd route one extra heatpipe through VRM part instead of stuff like this sticking out of the case. Properly cooled VRM's are becoming more and more important. But i wouldn't just yet go as extreme as those dedicated massive coolers from Thermalright. That's a bit of an overkill. But extra heatpipe going from VRM to the main cooler would be a nice addition. I think many ppl would gladly pay extra 5-10 EUR for that feature while i'm sure it wouldn't cost that much to a manufacturer. Better cooled for stock specs and better cooled when overclocked. Win-win.

So we heard you like graphics card heatsinks so attatched heatsink to a heatsink so you can cool your graphics card while you cool your graphics card?

i dont like tailed card, but dual fan looks good

Seems that IT HW industry really likes old Viking legends. I was wondering when someone will use good old frost giant name. :D

Oops I bumped my computer... why am I crashing in games now?

Reminds me of the DFI UT X58-T3eH8 and its heatsink. I really should've gotten that one instead of the T3eH6, but I was a skimpy poor bastard back then....

There were also some passively cooled Gigabyte graphic cards in the past that had heatpipe coolers sticking out. And i've also seen PSU's cooled this way. I think it was passive as well.

holy sh*t
what is it??:roll: silly rad on lonely heatpipe looks ugly :D
i think such kind of cooling is need for gtx570\580, but not for 560 non ti:shadedshu
and how we shuold install THIS in case??

You installed card first, then slot in the heatpipe after I would assume.

That would be the most sensible option.

Colorful's Corporate Mission statement:

Cool it so that the temperature doesn't budge from idle to load... and then cool it some more.

lol well said man

Looks like the first iteration of the TFIII, which looked awful, hence the following 2 iterations that still don't look as good as TFII.

Why are it's guts hanging out of its ass?

such a thing would not work well with those of us who own SilverStone cases where everything is routed to the top of the case RV01, RV02, FT02 etc etc.... needless to say if that taily thingy couldn't be removed then choppy chop chop it would get
