The FP241VW fully supports video resolution of 1080p and features HDMI interface which allows easy connection to HD enabled equipment such as HD DVD players, and game consoles. The "Senseye+gaming technology" sounds interesting, but since when is 12ms "ultra-fast"?
Would like to know how big the display is also; couldn't find that in the article. It does look very nice though; a refreshing change from the typical LCD a la stand and the HDMI is a nice touch. Hello PS3 playin on the toilet

Yea I agree.
12ms is pretty slow these days.
A lot of the newer LCDs are 8ms and lower.
Based upon the naming convention and the resolution, it seems that this LCD is 24 in.

12ms MPRT

MPRT? Is that the same thing as grey-to-grey or black-to-black?

Yeah, good question. I was wondering what that meant, and if it was the same as pixel response time (your typical "ms" rating), or something different.

Was BenQ KING OF MONITORS at one time? If so what happened?

12ms, while it may look slow, they took care of the blur and stuff associated with FPS games and such. Who knows, they have made 12ms response times quicker than the 8ms times. Im interested in getting one of these, but if it costs a grand, I think Ill just wait.

This must be a PVA panel, so that response time is not at all bad, as samsung had PVA record of 6ms GtG before. It's FULL color, no dithering or nothing and those viewing angles are also more true that in any TN panels. 970p & 770p were the first PVA panels that could be used for gaming. Here's the newest Samsungs one 971P:

ps. the marketing really sucks, if they don't mention that it's a PVA and don't use 6ms GtG, this might also be because of the new regulation of Gray-to-Gray times. Manufactures can't report what they like anymore, but there are specifications for it like in Black-to-Black. Read somewhere it was on the making, maybe it's ready now.
