TechPowerUp released the latest version of GPU-Z, our popular graphics hardware information and monitoring utility. Version 0.5.4 packs a large number of changes, beginning with faster start-up, support for the entire line of NVIDIA GeForce 500M series GPUs, new models of Intel Sandy Bridge processor graphics, a number of AMD Radeon HD 6000M series GPUs, improved support for AMD APUs, and a number of bug fixes.

GPU-Z has overcome the slow start-up issue on AMD Radeon GPUs, it loads slightly faster on NVIDIA GPUs, too. ROP count reading on AMD Radeon HD 6790, Turks & Whistler was fixed; along with sensor count on Caicos, Whistler, Turks. OpenCL detection on some NVIDIA drivers was fixed. The ability to read UMA-shared memory on AMD APU systems was added. GPU-Z has better ability to detect and warn of spurious graphics cards with faked IDs. GPU-Z 0.5.4 is available in both its standard form and the ASUS Republic of Gamers themed variant.

Still can't detect Fusion GPU clocks.

that's correct .. fusion support is still very limited

Also, wrong detect ROPs of Mobility Radeon HD 5400.

Anyone comment on startup time?

I would think such a small app pulling driver details wouldn't take much time at all, but I literally have no idea.

It really starts faster now, and I like it!

there is actually a lot going on during startup. installing and starting the driver for low level access does already take quite some time (no way without it). then there are several hardware access operations that are limited by the underlying hardware and not affected by cpu speed.

the volts are still showing stock on my card just shows the stock idle and load volts even after raising them in AB

this is probably because gpuz reads the voltage that the driver thinks the card is running at, yet AB changes the voltage regulator directly to add some kind of voltage offset.

which card is that? do you know which voltage regulator by any chance?

WOW Great job W1zz! This loads so much faster i clocked V0.5.3 at 6sec. and now V0.5.4 at 2sec. and i love the ROG. Keep up the great work.

Twin Frozr III PE/OC, no havnt looked

Realy nice, thank you!
P.S.
Any chance for new languages to be added? :P

Thank you for the faster startup time!

wow, startup is basically instant, thanks for the update!

nice improvements. any chance we can get an autoupdate function soon?

GTS 450 is based on GF116?

Is it true some GTS 450 are GF116 based or just a detection fault?
