NVIDIA has released an updated set of ForceWare drivers, version 97.92, for anyone using an 8800 based card on Windows XP. The official download is available here, there aren't too many fixes.

Single-GPU Issues Resolved
• Splinter Cell Double Agent: Some surfaces are corrupt.
• Halo: Character images are corrupted.
• Oblivion: Streaks appear in the sky after a few minutes of gameplay.
• 3DMark06 reports incorrect driver performance when using CSAA:16Q antialiasing.
• Blue-screen crash occurs when burning a DVD while watching TV.
• Updated NVIDIA Control Panel categories do not install-the previous driver version remains.
• NVIDIA Control Panel: Error occurs on the help page when "smoothness" or "jagged" links are clicked from the Adjust Image Settings with review page.

SLI Mode Issues Resolved
• SLI: The SLI profile for any application is ignored if steam.exe is running and the application resolution does not match the desktop resolution.

Thanks for the info, I thought I'd post it so more people saw it. Us newsreaders like an internal source for a change. :)

*Begins hacking them to work with their other cards*

sounds good. knowledge is power :)

I've modified the driver to work with pretty much all GeForce cards, and tested it on my 7900GTs, it works just fine so far, and even works with SLI(which the older 97 driver didn't do).:rockout:

aren't these drivers specifically for teh 8800 because of the fact that its unified...?

Nope, they work just fine with older cards, I really don't know why NVidia doesn't release these for their lower cards too. Even if they don't want to get them WHQL certified they could at least release them and call them beta drivers so I don't have to modify them every time so they install on my cards.

they did the same with nforce1,2,3 drivers and stopped unifying them with nf4 even though the drivers are still compatable.
