Corsair, a worldwide designer and supplier of high-performance components to the PC gaming hardware market, today announced availability in limited quantities of a new 1.5V 8GB Dominator GT DDR3 memory kit with an aggressive timing specification.

The new 8GB dual-channel DDR3 kit is guaranteed to operate at 2133MHz at a memory voltage of 1.5V, and with a groundbreaking timing specification of CL9-11-9. With latency settings this low, the Dominator GT modules have the most aggressive timing specification of any 2x4GB 2133MHz 1.5V memory kit available today.

The new hand-assembled Dominator GT memory kit is the product of a multi-stage component screening process in which individual memory ICs are screened before assembly onto the PCBs, which then undergo additional rigorous testing to ensure reliable performance. Qualification is performed on Intel P67 and P55 motherboards, using the same rigorous test cycle applied to the rest of Corsair's memory product lines. As with all Corsair memory products, Dominator GT is backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

"The unprecedented timing specification on the 1.5V Dominator GT kit makes it ideal for overclocking," said Giovanni Sena, Director of Memory Products at Corsair. "Dominator GT memory is designed for enthusiasts who are obsessed with pushing their PC's performance to the limit, and this latest kit is a worthy addition to the family."

The 1.5V 8GB Dominator GT (CMT8GX3M2A2133C9) DDR3 memory kit comes complete with Corsair's patented DHX+ heatsinks and an AirFlow 2 GTL Cooling Fan for exceptional thermal performance. It may be purchased directly from Corsair.com for $499 USD. Limited quantities are available. For more information on this and other Corsair Dominator memory products, please visit the Corsair web site.

It will take a couple of hours/days for that link to be active.

thats really fast indeed:rockout:

1.5v is very impressive but the price in today's market yikes.. You can pick up some G SKill @ 1.65v for only $149.99 with the same cas @ 9-11-9. Now if these can go a cas 6 at 1.65v then I would say worth the price indeed...

GT series should be like this, but prices looks more than crazy.
But i thik it's same sticks of 2400mhz but with down clock it and decrease the voltage‏ ‏even same price so these sticks can hit 2400mhz and a bit over with 1.65v.

its pretty fast but i dont see any point that pretty special

Utter ripoff. Im done with corsairs overpriced memory. G. Skill has 2133s for 99 dollars

I think there's a bit more between the heat spreaders then is being reported. Cadaveca would have an idea about the in n out of these sticks.

I don't get why people are shocked by the price of super selective hand picked sets of ram, I mean these are an impressive offering for sure especially given it's an 8GB kit, but not worth the price to the average user. Serious overlcockers may be willing to give these a look see, but doubtful, these just seem somewhat out of place being an 8GB kit.

G. Skill is really affordable compared to others. even Kingston is overpriced for their lousy shit :/

Im not shocked at all as I own a pair of dominators

+1

In the memory department, I've always stayed away from Corsair because of the price. But it doesn't change the fact that they have 1 of the best reputations BECAUSE of their aggressive strategy that sparked an onslaught of other products in different markets. Their memory is what made them what they are today. But dammit....their prices makes me ache!!
I'm glad that there are companies out there like G Skill :)

I hope this isn't the same con as their DDR3 2133 Dominator's with 9,11,9,27 T2 timings but 4GB kit, it says on the sticker those timings and 1.5v, but in fact takes 1.65v to get up there.

This isn't selective, not with its timings nor speed.
