PC Motherboard Prices to Rise By 10% By Q2, 2012

... that (wiring thingy) was just simplification. Not a single operation in Motherboard production is done by hand...

Do most of us a favor here and don't assume we require "simplification" of tech related discussion. Where do you think you are... Facebook?

See, this is what happens when you let slave labor have their way instead of calling their mass suicide bluff. Quick, 3rd world countries arise! Lower your human rights standards more, open to foreign businesses ruling you, and make China's cheap labor look like greedy millionaires!!

Ya know someday we're just going to get smart and invest more into space travel. Then mine the crap out of this solar system. RED FACTION!!! :D

You're so twisted... but kinda right in a wrong sort of way. :D

Sorry guys, I gotta get paid somehow, so there it is. That 10% goes to me personally.

j/k.

Ok...memory was supposed to go up in price because the fabs are turning the screws on production. Now...motherboard makers want 'another' 10%? As I said in the memory thread, it isn't going to happen. Demand is about to fall off a cliff.

I'm saving my cash for serious buys ahead, but...I'm only a technical analyst with 30 years experience...what do I know.

Best,

Aww....man..

I promised a good friend of mind that I'll help him build a decent gaming PC for him this year, which would be slightly similar to mine. This won't bode well for him.

why cant they use other materials instead of copper?
bronze, messing, tin, lead, iron, aluminum, silver, diamond, chrome,

because copper has the fastest transfer rate and is cheaper than gold/platinum

Could fibre glass work?

They envy the HDD manufacturers... LoL!

I thought board's were already overpriced, seem's like most board's start @ about $200CAD and up! I have also noticed the ridiculous HDD pricing.

I'm tellin' ya they're trying to raise fund's to pay for those 2012 rescue ship ticket's!! Everything has gotten much more expensive over the last year year and a half, my income hasn't changed though

Well, currently I am not in a position to start making mobos, let alone make them and sell them at a price that will make the enterprise run break even. ;)
