Without cleaning the soot off of the PCB with isopropyl alcohol, it's hard to tell what exactly failed or took damage.
It does look like the main suspect is the surface mount capacitor (to the left of the block with the brown in the middle, they're likely identical).
Seems to have shorted out, spilled a lot of soot out the side and covered the surrounding components. It got hot enough to melt the solder (the silver-ish bubble on top).
If the card is still in warranty, RMA it ASAP without cleaning anything up in that area.
Those parts are there for a reason. If they blow up it will have an effect somehow, which might not show right away..
