@Kreij, probably because it is easier for a company like Google or Microsoft to lock in customers for their paid products if those same customers already use their web browsers and/or other (free) products they are "used" to.

Gives a better name to Microsoft, Google, Apple etc? Think about it, you love Google chrome, you are subconsciously going to like google products like Android phone etc better! Also more likely to use Google.com, and they can spy on you more and use the info to make more $$

For those looking for a good ablock addon for Chrome, try adbock plus. Its made by the same people who make it for Firefox and it works flawlessly for me. Pick the EasyList filter and ur all set.
