EKL Unveils the Alpenföhn Gotthard CPU Cooler

EKL is now readying a brand new CPU cooler, the Alpenföhn Gotthard featuring a TopFlow design with three cooling zones. The cooler packs six C-shaped (6 mm) copper heatpipes, it comes equipped with one 140 mm (HD bearing) Wing Boost fan, and has support for Intel LGA 775/1155/1156/1366/2011 and AMD Socket FM1/AM3(+)/AM2(+) processors.

The Alpenföhn Gotthard has a recommended price tag of 57.90 Euro and is expected to become available at the end of this month or in early May.

the only similarities are that they're both top down coolers. hell if thats similar then the noctua nh-c12p is the same, coolermaster gemini2, scythe zipang2 etc etc. the individual heatsink sections make this quite alot different, same with the airflow profile, than other top downs i've seen.

Will be ok but not great like a bigger tower cooler with shorter heatpipes to the fins and actually heatpipes radiating from both sides.

Since Alpenföhn is a german company, the pronunciation through the german phonetic and the right one for this cooler would be Gott-hard. No particular meaning, Gott is God and hard means nothing in german. I haven't since a design like this before, interesting.
