Crytek Takes Aim with Crysis 3 - The First Blockbuster Shooter of 2013

Holy spoilers Batman.

Seeing PC listed far in the end, thats probably how much attention they'll dedicate to it. If they plan on releasing some shitty DX9 port with washed out textures and effects and patching it later, they can stick it somewhere.

Yep, I will not be buying this game.

(If you know what I mean)

fuck console obsolete hardware, keep us anchored !

I really hope that now shooting with the bow, it will NOT deplete your stealth. Maybe that's the point of the bow...

Right after the Call Of Crysis last version, not to much excited with this game.

I mean, the Crysis was an open world exploration and the enemy were at list kind
of challenge; Crysis2 was a truly fail for me.

It is good if they want to improve the graphics but what about the game play !?

meanwhile at crytek
"Good story line? hahahahaha.... HAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA!!!! good one man..."

I swear i saw prophet shoot himself in Crysis 2................

Lets hope they give PC gamers what they want from the beginning. Seeing some new videos of Cry Engine 3 and they are just wasting what that engine can do on consoles.

You must not know how to play Crysis. The gameplay is extremely fun if you use the environment around you to tactically attack the enemies. jumping up onto of big thjings that they would not expect you to be on, throwing big explosive barrels and then shooting them right when they land in the middle of 5 guys, running and sliding under things to knock the guy down, then picking up the other guy and throwing him into the wall to kill him. Theres is so much you can do in crysis when it comes to attacking in single player. I could careless about multiplayer. Not every game needs a multiplayer mode to be worthwhile.

Spring 2013 is too far away

Looking forward to this. I really liked crysis 2, more than 1.

Yawn.

I miss the original FarCry

So we went from Futuristic Alien Weapons in Crysis 1 to Bow and Arrows in Crysis 3.

They need to stop taking from other games (COD/Skyrim) and start coming up with their own shit.

I don't really understand why everyone is so upset about the bow. It could be effin' sweet for all we know.

You must be one of those CoD "pew pew-bam!-kabum!" lovers.
Seriuos Sam is fine but not my style, anyway; there were people who loved Crysis2
but they are never the same people that played the original Crysis concept.

Casual games are currently all over the place.

I don't understand why so many people say Crysis 2 is worse than the original game. Yes, the Ceph AI was bad (except for those bloody Pingers!) but the story was so, so much better. I'll be interested to see what plotlines get concluded (or not) in this installment. Hopefully Crysis 3 will also take full advantage of the "cityscape" theme to allow more vertically-oriented gameplay.

As for Crysis 2's gameplay... if you want a challenge, try completing the game without killing any of the Cell soldiers (except for the scripted kills).

I think the bow is pretty cool, remain to be seen how well is implemented.
Graphics wise loks the same as crysis 2 to me.

You have the right to your opinion, but to categorize those that liked (loved) Crysis 2 "are never the same people that played the original Crysis concept" is not true. I played Far Cry when it came out. Then Crysis, Warhead and Crysis 2. Have enjoyed playing all of them. But hey that is just me:)

And I like the idea of a bow as well:toast:

Looks like you're wrong. He described an old school FPS player, not the modern "iron sight" player. If he was a modern FPS player, he would've hated the whole use-the-environment-as-a-weapon concept which was there since the Quake days.

Cause it just seems like they are adding it out of an act of desperation. I guess if its a Plasma Bow Gun or something sure... Maybe like the Plasma Sword in Halo 2 but wtf is this Skyrim?

Bow = silent, can be fired in repetition as fast as a bolt action sniper rifle in trained hands, does not give away your position, and you can make your own ammo.
Also, one would think it would mean that you wouldn't lose any of your cloak using it.

1st was a good game. And then they turned it into a COD with nanosuit to attract console kids.

Bow = good fun. Don't hate. Skyrim wasn't the first game to ever have a bow in it. I happened to like Crysis 2. It will be dumbed down for consoles, that is just the way they treat PC gamers now and days.
