Torn some components from the back of the card, still working?

Hi,

This is MSI GTX 460 card, N460GTX-M2D1GD5/OC

I had too many VRM sinks and thermo glue, so I glued some to the components I surrounded in the picture.

But moving the card around, I managed to tear 2 of them. Only one is left, the one I didn’t highlight. I thought that I tore 4 of them but it seems 2 were missing by design.

The strange things is the card is still working, overclocking like before and showing no instability. But I think these components are there for a reason.
Even though I see the MSI 460 HAWK doesn’t have them by desing: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_460_HAWK/images/back.jpg
What type are they, capacitors? It says "470 e03" on them. Can I replace them with similar components from the electronics part shop? I have some basic soldering skills and the base is big enough for me to solder to

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I used the image from the MSI 460 Cyclone OC review, full picture: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GeForce_GTX_460_Cyclone_OC_1_GB/images/back_full.jpg

Thanks in advance

Yes they are capacitors, and you can replace them. But make sure polarity is correct and voltage value is sufficient, or they will blow up. They should be low ESR, tantalum type.

In this case capacity is printed on body - 470uF or 47uF if I am terribly mistaken by one zero. In this case it shouldn't make big difference.

Thanks for the reply. I couldn't find replacement capacitors so I RMA'd the board

Thanks again
