Windows 8 Release Preview Out Later Today: Redacted Blog Post

-will switch to Linux

I think this is actually your best option if you're not a gamer and even then more support is growing for distos like Ubuntu. Actually I made a small partition on my SSD RAID for Ubuntu and believe it or not fglrx supports crossfire. I don't really have anything to try it on though.

Try Nexuiz, it's really resource-hungry when set at max graphics ;) And unfortunately i'm a gamer, this is why i can't use Linux as my main OS. I started trying out various Linux distributions about 3-4 years ago and since then i always have something on my secondary hard drive. Currently i use Linux Mint 13 (with Mate DE) which is great but i hate rebooting my machine every time when i wanna have one quick Battlefield 3 game. Steam is working on their client for Linux OS, really looking forward into.

OK, back to topic. I was using 64 bit Windows XP, when most home users even didn't know what is it and how to eat it, i was using Vista since very first alpha versions while a lot people hated it, i switched to Windows 7 before first official beta was released. I'm open to try out new ideas and so on, but i just don't see Windows 8 on a desktops. It's just like going to gym to eat a burger.

S. Ballmer have admitted that Windows Phone 7 "wasn't a very successful" (aka FAIL) and now they repeating same mistake with Windows 8. For tablets it's can be really good, but not for laptops/desktops.

I'll rather:

-keep using Windows 7 for another 15 years-will buy a mac
-will switch to Linux
-will go to a one way trip to a Mars

But my PC won't be running this crap.

Thats a great philosphy, the only thing is that you won't be able to play DX21 games :D

hehe no way we get dx21 over 15 years we probaly being stuck with Console Ported games with Dx11
