Software XP Home SP2, can't wait for Vista SP1.
Apple has joined this list of companies that have popular tech not ready for Windows Vista. Earlier this week, they announced that iTunes was not ready for Windows Vista. Apparently, all of Apple's software cannot be run on Windows Vista. This is quite a setback, considering how many Quicktime files there are on the internet, and how many people who own iPods.

But you can run Vista on a Mac. Could this prompt PC users to edge towards Mac's with 2 OS's? Its a posibility is it not? Apple 1 - 0 Microsoft

Just goes to show how complicated Vista is....sad really. I Cant wait til SP1 or 2 or whatever. I honestly wouldnt mind Vista, just not with all these problems.

All the better reason to use VLC.

LoL.... no.

I've viewed Quicktime files on Vista with no problem, I don't even remember installing anything for it...

iPod sucks anyways, and iTunes is terrible. So screw that. Apple 0 - 0 MS is more like it.

And what a coincidence that Apple, one of Microsoft's biggest competitors, does not have applications ready for Vista.

Vista is a good OS but it will, like with all new systems, take time before applications and drivers are good. The Vista specifications have been available for months, and it's down to manufacturers to rewrite/update code - not Microsoft. If it bothers you, go do something else for 6 months and when you come back I'm willing to bet you'll find a much more appealing OS. Just don't nag, I hear enough of that from kids and tabloids.

What the hell is the problem with these software companies. They have had a good year to play around and design drivers and software for Vista and they can't do it? Discusting.

It really gets on my nerves that people have been bashing Windows Vista since before its initial beta release as not worth buying, garbage, Windows XP Sp3, etc. Then everyone wonders why there was not a great stampede for the final release.
I agree with the posters on here. NVidia and other companies have had more than enough time to get their drivers and programs up to par with the Vista release (with Vista delays and all). I think it's wrong to blame Microsoft or say that Vista isn't worth the time because Apple doesn't have THIER products ready??? For all the fake bull$heet they throw about Microsoft, i'm surprised they want there all powerfull, secure apps on such a piece of crap OS like Vista.

Let's see if anyone even mentions it when Leopard is released.

What? iTunes runs fine on Vista, i have no problems at all!

I have no problems with itunes or QT or my ipod on vista, I think what apple is trying to say is with all the other problems you will encounter with this os, we dont want to hear it,yes it works , no we will not support it:)
