Dutch online publications report that A.C. Ryan Europe may have gone bankrupt citing an anonymous employee. The employee said that the company was a victim of "commercially-wrong decisions" by its higher-ups. The office of A.C. Ryan Europe, located in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, has been listed on a property rentals website, and nobody is answering its telephone. The company is still listed by the Dutch Chamber of Commerce as not being bankrupt. More details are awaited. A.C. Ryan specializes in media players.

Doesn't surprise me, with what they used to charge for a fan grill....

To be honest, till this moment, i've never heard of them...

My Ac-ryan UV reactive fans are still going strong.

Shame the company isn't.

This is what they mostly made/maybe even relabeled.

more like a victim of apple tv

To add to the post about fans a bit further up.

They were pretty cool when lit up and UV'd

( I've since gone off light up fans mind you)

Ah, gimmicks for the zitty 14-year olds, no wonder I never heard of them before. Back when I was young computers didn't even have fans ...

"commercially-wrong decisions"
Steve Ballmer, read that! Now again and again, and again. Keep reading it until you make some conclusion.

Not surprised at all.

I owned a PlayOnHD! which had nothing but trouble. Their support is crap and the firmware is terrible aswell.

I switched to a Mede8er MED500X which uses the same hardware, and i have yet to get issues after almost 1,5 year. Shows how important good firmware is.

Id say good riddance.

dont they sell cheap shit for high costs? i mean its not really shitty stuff but there is a limit. not anyone can pull of a stunt like apple.

I don't have experience with any other products of them other than Mediaplayers, and the Firmware and Support they offer(ed) for those products was really really low.

Well I bought those fans for 2 quid each so it's not all bad

Their fan grills cost like £10 though which is crazy for acrylic .
