With Microsoft's Windows Vista released and being integrated into today's PCs at full speed, Apple can't be expected to just sit around and watch Windows get PC sales. We could possibly see a refresh of everything from the Mac Mini to the Xserve. Apple workers have confirmed one important thing though- a black iMac. The 20" and 24" versions will have a nice black paintjob, similar to the black Macbook and the black iPod Nano. Mac Pro's could get upgraded to eight-core models, and we may see a low-priced 15" Macbook. There are also rumors of new iCinema displays with HDMI ports that support HDCP content.

A sketchup of what the new iMac might look like:

I just can't bring myself to buy a product from Apple. They company is just way to disgraceful and treats it's customers extremely poorly. I have one Mac in my home that I need for work, and if it wasn't for that I would throw it in the trash(well probably donate it to a school or something).

It is a shame too, I really like their OS and their computers, but after the crap they have pulled in the last few years I simply won't buy from them again.

Finally an Apple monitor which is easy on the eyes instead of that white crap.
But yeh, buying Apple HW just seems so wrong to me. It doesn't give me this warm feeling deep inside which makes me all fuzzy which I get when I buy real HW. :x

I can see what you mean, Its like buying something knowing it was hand stitched by poor Third-world children who get less that 1p a month for their efforts :-/

I had an iBook G4....I just don't like Apple. You'll probably see me say as much in any other thread involving Apple.

Why do they need another new lineup, they just released this lineup.

My family just got a MacBook Pro for Christmas and we love it. I have had nothing wrong and never had to call apple for help. And for my dad it is really easy to use since there aren't really any virus's or spyware.

Yeah, Macs are good for people that aren't looking to do too much, I'd love to see it as a stand-alone OS.

Macs are BRILLIANT for people who like "it works right out of the box" (tm)

But most PC enthusiasts arent like that... so you wont find many Mac lovers here.

I'm a Mac lover AND a PC enthusiast. So you will find Mac lovers here, but I know I'm the minority.

i'm one too :toast:

:toast: I use both, and I hate people that bitch at me for it. Half of them actually know flip all about Macs in the first place.

I like Macs for the ease of use and "it just works" policy, but I prefer PC's for the wide range of stuff you can do on them...and the satisfaction of building one...and the ability to fix them...:p.

That is the thign that does put PC's just over Macs for me. The ability to change and customise!

I kinda fall into this catagory as well... :ohwell:

I think he was referring to it more on the hardware level. There's just plain more to do with a PC in that respect. If OS tweaking is what you want, you can get an Intel Mac and run OS X, Windows, and Linux and tweak to your heart's content.

I was taking about hardware aswell.

I like Macs, but I hate iPods and Apple. So what does that make me?
