Green House has kicked off this week by announcing the GH-BHDA42, an USB adapter providing Bluetooth connectivity. Seen below, the device measures 14.2 (W) x 19.3 (D) x 4.5 (H) (mm) and weighs just 2.4 grams, it features support for the latest Bluetooth specifications (4.0), and allows for transfer speeds of up to 3 Mbps (the maximum range is 10 meters).

The GH-BHDA42 is backed by a 6-month warranty and costs about $16.3.

cheap.

anyone know what the advantages to BT 3.0 are?

I think the main features of Bluetooth 4.0 are:
- more connectivity subsets (meaning increased complexity = higher device cost)
- lower transmission power (shorter range + less tolerance for signal obstructions)

Yay!?

lower latency, lower power, higher transfer speeds.

Huh?
Is 4.0 really higher speed than 3.0?
