Cooler Master, an industry leading chassis, thermal solution, peripheral, and accessory manufacturer, has released a must have accessory to accompany your CM Storm gaming mouse, the Skorpion mouse bungee.

Versatile, Freeing, Expandable
Crafted to be the next necessary addition to your gaming arsenal, Skorpion solves a wired mouse problem that has existed since the beginning of gaming. Mouse cords have had the tendency to get caught at inconvenient times. Skorpion solves this through the use of several techniques such as adaptive grip grooves that secure thin and thick mouse cords in its elevated active flex rubber mouse cord arm. This new found cord elevation gives gamers the control over how much mouse cord slack they need to perform lightning fast movements that score the final kill of a match - all without the concern that a caught cord might cause unwanted movements that have devastating consequences. A heavy iron core and feet with anti-shift pads provides Skorpion with exceptional stability, even throughout stressful final matches.

Skorpion is the next logical step in your journey to increase your gaming prowess. Let nothing, not even a caught mouse cord; stand in your way of victory.

Skorpion will be available 18th September, 2012. Price and availability may vary by region.
Expected M.S.R.P without VAT - 13€

Very cute, seen some progamers use it, but I am not convinced that I need it. Anyone else having this thoughts?

Of course you don't need it - desks where you have problem with mouse cord entanglement are cramped desks in the first place with no extra place for this plastic construct

So it's gonna be like this?

I wonder which works better though.

never had problem with mouse cords or reaction times in games. honestly a cheaper solution is using duct tape.

Hell, the cheapest solution is just using another cord to hold the mouse with enough slack to enable full movement (keyboard cords work wonders).

Wouldnt a cordless mouse be the solution here?

Some gamers refuse to go cordless with their gaming devises. I believe it is because of response times.

in gaming env a wired mouse will always be faster because there is no Transceiver to discriminate signals

I tried the Razer bungee once, printed a return label 5 minutes after opening te box. It just sucks for me. I ended up getting the Razer Armadillo, its very overpriced but is perfect for the job.

Keep in mind that braided cables are a lot thicker, my Sensei's cabld did not perfectly fit the bungee at first, in fact you can say that I forced it in. Works fine with the Armadillo, my current Zowie works fine as well (thinner cable; not braided).

Because they are freakin heavy due the batterys.

Strange i never had any issue with my wired mice.

Just me or does this scream NOD?

This thing looks like a kids toy. Kinda plasticy and breaky looking lol.

That roccat one looks alot better esp with the usb hub and it looks thicker so it'll last longer.. I have a cm mouse i'm using (2.5yrs now) thas sleeved and its soo freaking annoying. it still has its stupid lil kinks when it was wrapped up in the package that I just can't get rid of.

If you buy a mouse with a very thin slick plastic coating you likely would laugh at this. A lot of the new mice have thick braided chords that drive me crazy as you can feel the extra weight and the covering catching on things. This might be nice for those manufactures that still think a braided mouse chord is a good idea, which it is not. Leave the braided chord on the headphones where you need it.

lol i have the razer lycosa and my deatheradder is connected to it, the rest of the cord is bundled up and taped up right behind my monitor. cant even see it. no need for this.

I just have one of them little "cable tacks'(for running cables along baseboards) nailed to the corner of my desk. holds the "right amount" of slack in the cable. Got a whole pack of em for a dollar :p So 1 is practically free and takes up no space on my desk doing the same thing that wacky contraption is doing ;)

Haha, my thoughts exactly when I saw it on their website some weeks ago... Obelisk Of Light or Hand Of NOD especially come to mind... LOL

RIP Command & Conquer
