ASUS Introduces the VivoBook S400 14-Inch Touch Ultrabook

Yet another ASUS-branded Windows 8 mobile PC has went up for pre-order this week and it is a 0.8-inch-thick ultrabook boasting a 14.1-inch (1366 x 768) touchscreen. Named VivoBook S400, ASUS' creation runs Windows 8 Home Premium (64-bit) and features a 1.7 GHz Core i5-3317U processor, 4 GB of RAM, a 24 GB SSD, a 500 GB (5400 RPM) hard drive, Intel GMA HD graphics, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, an HD camera, plus one USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports.

The VivoBook S400 costs $699 and will ship on October 26.

ASUS VivoMacBook Looks cool though, if it has the battery life and runs as cool as a macbook I might get one. Also, lol at intel HD graphics why didn't they just use an APU?

APUs are really really weak, show it anything more than web browser and the occasional game and it will start to hyperventilate. At least a low clocked IVB can do something more than that. You lose some gaming capability, but on the other hand still possible to game if you choose your game carefully

I am afraid to tell you that you are in the wrong section, this is, after all, a budget ultrabook. What is a respectable PPI by the way? The other Asus looks more decent, you might want to check that out

That's more like it, but only want one screen for simplicity sake, and a slightly lower price.
