Need for Speed Most Wanted Races on to Retail Shelves Today

thanks for the video lol! it convinced me to stop my download hahahaahaha

its just all too fake and gimmicky now, bring underground series back where the cars felt realistic to some extent, the physics were 100x better than this crap

i'm passing on this. tuning is streamlined. no real story. cops are not a threat. licensed cars means minimal damage. I love Burnout Paradise multiplayer but I don't know if it's enough..

I liked Underground 2's tuning.

underground and underground 2 were the best NFS's to date IMO... story was great and tuning was out of this world. felt like it was actually YOUR car after you tuned and tweaked it. i HATE how they went to the burnout starting for driving too, you can no longer just drive off normaly, you HAVE to spin your wheels EVERYTIME you go.... SO dumb. also sandbox roaming was awesome in the underground series

Are we the only ones that miss the tuning system? And burnout at the start = no traction = slower. How stupid.

My favorite () part was here. Seriously, WTF did I just watch?

I play NFSU2 every year at Christmas. It's gotten to the point where I'm conditioned to feel Christmassy when I play it.

The racing in Most Wanted looks reminiscent of the original, though obviously I can't judge how it "feels" without playing it.

Looks like this game is not good. I dont know i think so.
Most wanted 1 was much better. The car control sucks in a way.
I will make a review to my website later.
If they really wanted to make it look real, why did they make that stupid animation with 10 of the same cars?

BRING BACK UNDERGROUND 2!!!

Make it an HD version, I don't care. Add police, fine. Just bring back the originals which were soo much better than the others!

you me and apparently NC37 are the only sane people left on this planet lol!!!!

i mean really? that video was just driving around a block over and over again... a big square if you will... how in the world did they progress from underground 2 to this crap??? the tracks are n't even fun

IS this one better than last one?

In my honest opinion (well... played just for 4 hours now) this game is far superior over the last 4-5 NFSs

So is it better to buy it for PC or PS3? any diffrence in graphics?

Anyone else notice how over the years the graphics are getting better but the game, the gameplay, and the physics are going KINDERGARTEN. The OP screenies look GREAT. But the videos give the game away. AWFUL.

I want NFS to go BACK TO BASICS not BACK TO KINDERGARTEN.

This game is terrific, although i've only playey it for 2 hours.
it's far batter than, nfs: the run, shift, undercover, pro street. except for hot pursuit (criterion)
And the best nfs i ever played: Most Wanted 1.

First The Need for Speed was released in 1995 if I remember right for DOS and without 3D hardware acceleration, and the graphics and gameplay were the best of its time. One of the best NFS ever. Then NFS2 came out with a later patch for 3DFx Glide. Playing that game in 3D SVGA graphics was one of my best experiences ever on my VooDoo card. Then came out in '98 NFS III - Hot Pursuit which had the first fully 3D graphics engine that blew any car games at that time. Driving through rain in that game still remains on of the best experience ever. Then 1 year later and updated NFS High Stakes came out, and until today is considered THE BEST EVER NFS ever produced. Also the last that featured a 3D inside view of the car for best simm experience.

The first release of Need For Speed was in 1994 on the 3DO console.

"The original Need for Speed was released for 3DO in 1994 with versions released for the PC (DOS) (1995), PlayStation and Saturn (1996) following shortly afterwards."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Need_for_speed

My brother had borrowed his friend's 3D0 shortly after the game came out and we sat around for countless hours playing Need For Speed. Every new release of the franchise takes me back to those days with fond memories.

And surprisingly it's not a pile of crap . .. .

Eh?

Drives by police car: +HEAT!
Overtakes traffic: +HEAT!
Doing a donut in the middle of the road: +HEAT!
Looks in rear view mirror ... oh wait no cockpit: +HEAT!

Drove about for ages and couldn't drop my heat level to get the police to stop chasing me (they rammed into me: +HEAT!). :/

This is the WORST nfs I have played in my entire life!!! Wtf is this garbage??? Story is ZERO, realistic driving ZERO, game physics is pure crap, absolutely no fun driving, very bad graphic optimization, stupid auto tuning, races and missions are utterly retarded, again NO PLOT LINE, stupid bumper view instead of at least some emulated cockpit view, wtf is wrong with those guys?!? Btw, Gzero is right, I drove like 20 mins to ditch the cops on a easy missions and finally quit. I uninstalled this garbage after 30 mins of torture play...
NFS franchise is DEAD AND BURIED by those idiots!!!

realistic driving ZERO, game physics is pure crap,
I thought "realistic driving" was moved to the Shift series. :\ If you were expecting that on a run-of-the-mill NFS game, boy, did you got your expectations wrong.
Calm down. :)

to make a good Burnout game you need unlicensed cars. when you use licensed cars you can't smash them into pieces and they have to be high poly so there goes your 60 FPS and sense of speed with it. this game doesn't seem like a good Burnout or Need for Speed game.
