Hi everyone.
So my primary monitor is an old 19" LG connected by a DVI cable to my computer. I'm currently running Win7 64-bit. I'd like to use my new TV as a monitor as well, so I bought an HDMI cable to connect my computer to it. The card has an HDMI out port and the TV has three HDMI in ports. The card is designed, theoretically, to support up to six monitors at once.
However, when I plug the TV in and go to Display Options, the TV isn't detected. When I click the button marked "detect", not only does it still not see my TV, but my monitor goes dead as well. The computer hasn't crashed- I still hear noise- but no picture, and nothing short of a reboot can bring it back. Additionally, if I boot with the TV plugged in, as soon as Windows loads my monitor dies (although I can see the boot process fine on it).
I've checked Google- no one else is having this problem, and I can't figure it out myself. Anyone have any ideas?
