NVIDIA released the GeForce 310.70 WHQL software suite, which isn't much more than a WHQL-signed version of the GeForce 310.70 beta drivers posted a couple of weeks ago. Available for 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP, the drivers, much like the 310.70 beta, are a cumulative of several R310 beta releases from over the past two months. They add significant performance increases over the previous 306.97 WHQL drivers.

Pretty solid drivers. Assassins Creed 3 is running even smoother now!

WTF? AC3 SLI is still not recommended!

I disagree that non WHQL are per definition beta drivers.

They are per-definition beta/alpha/pre-alpha drivers.

I think the developers must say if it is or not beta. It has always been like that. MS certification is added value but not the end of all ends. I think this is not my opinion, but how things have been and are. Personal Computers (PC) are one thing and MS is another, although now we are "drilled" to say things like "Games for windows" instead of "PC game", etc... Applelization at it's best... : )

WHQL 310.70 is 160mb vs BETA 310.70 200mb+

Why???

I've installed the 160mb one. Everything is fine. Noticed performance increase with SLI in FC3, since 310.70 beta.

Are there any changes from the beta aside from the WHQL signatures?

Why is Chronicles of Riddick tested?

I'm going to try these on the free copy of Metro 2033 I received from THQ's facebook page.

Why is Chronicles of Riddick tested?

Because everyone loves Vin Diesel and his Oscar level performances??..........honestly I don't F@#king know.

All I know is these new drivers are the tits!

Doesn't Riddick use an OpenGL based engine? If so it's good see that getting some love too.

But yes, these drivers and indeed very nice so far.

Pitch black was the best vin diesel move ever made /ENDVINDIESELMOVIETALK

I dunno about these. Had a hard crash in BF3. Prior drivers had been very stable. Turned up my case fans the next time and it seemed to be fine but I wonder if they're causing this.

why BF3 chart looks almost same for 660 and 680? Is 680 not better?

Different in-game settings :

660 :

Battlefield 3: Performance increased by 9.8% at 1920x1080 when using High settings in a single-player Paris benchmark; at 1680x1050 an improvement of 10.3% was recorded. Using Ultra settings, improvements of 8.1% and 7.7% were recorded at 1680x1050 and 1920x1080, respectively.

yeah, I did not crash BF3 but found the game stuttering, particularly when scoped.
Back to 306.97 and problem fixed
