Gecube launches "fastest" AGP card, announces DX10 boards to come

On AGP, the cpu shouldnt ever be a bottleneck, not with todays cpus and not none from a year or two ago either. I doubt it will be as expensive as everyone thinks. Companies know they cant charge for an old technology, more than they would a new technology. Otherwise, if they did that, they wouldnt have a customer base and be spinning their wheels, as it were.

On another note, that cooler is awesome looking. Is that a version of the TEC cooler for GPUS?

High end cards have almost always been bottlenecked by the cpu when they first come out.

And you think they cant charge more because its older tech? you dont know marketing well.

They have the fastest AGP part available. Knowing that they have a few agp dedicated people, with no other agp options, they can easily charge a 50$ or so premium for it.

agp versions of cards will always be more expensive due to lower production and higher demand.

agp is done. it is inferior to pci-e in data rates, lanes, and not to mention pci-e is the only native interface on video cards today. only those with the best parts for agp systems should buy this card.

by the way erocker amd is on to am2. skt 939 ran for years as top dog, and its time for change. you cant expect 1 socket to be in use for 10 years. its like expecting intel to continue making skt7 cpus...
