So far i have these:

- i7 2700k (use it at stock speeds) + Thermalight 120 Extreme + 1155 adapter plate
- Asus Maximus Gene V Z77
- Seasonic Gold X-1250 W
- Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer 16Gb (2x8) 1600 Mhz CL8 1.5v
- Good airflow & big case.

I need an SDD and a video or video cards.
Need to buy these in the begining of October (i leave the country and take it me and no more upgrades for at least 1 year - it's now or never) so no AMD R9 :( or response from Nvidia.

SDD: Budget 150-200 $ - put Windows on it and all the programs.
- Looking at Samsung 840 Pro series the 128 GB (135 $) or the 256 GB (230$)
- I see that the 256 gb version has higher top read speeds vs the 128.
- Will i see real life diferrences between these 2, worth the money for the 256 vs 128? ?
- How about endurance in time / wear?
- Or should i get the EVO series, cheaper but what about quality/endurance/speed? 109 $ for 120 gb and 190 $ for 250 gb.
- Any other recomandations ?

Video: ~ Ideally 500 $ (but if i have no choice maybe 600-700 $)
- I want something really powerfull so it will last me at least 1-2 years at max (Witcher 3 mainly adn of course everything that will be released now)
- this is my list:

- MSI Lighting GTX 780 - 765 $ - worth the money?
I understand that it uses cheap memory so no OC for that - but i really like the overkill in it like the 20 phases VRM, all the bling bling etc
- Asus Direct CU II GTX 780 - 699 $ @ Amazon
- Asus Direct CU II GTX 770 - 410 $
- SLI 2 x Asus Direct CU II GTX 760 - 2x 265 $

So, in the long run what is the best bet ?

1 x GTX 780 - better arhitecture / better optimization / worth the money or not that good perf/price ratio?
or
1 x GTX 770 - in the middle of everything performance/money etc
or
2 x GTX 760 - teoretical performance as good a single gtx 780 ? or more possible trouble in the future of drivers etc ?

Any imput is of great help.

The Samsung 840 series ssd's are exceptional. I have owned two and have had no problems what so ever =)

With regards to gfx card..i would personally probably go the gtx 760..Good all round card, with a pretty reasonable price tag for the performance..

Hope this helps

I'ld recommend one fast card over two slower cards in SLI. Although you might be cpu bottlenecked if you went with a 780.

The older Samsung SSD's have 5 year and not 3 years like the evo's.

Ok.
So green light for the Samsung 840 Pros.

What about the diffences in speed between the 128 and the 256 gb.
Worth the money the 256 over the 128 ?

I have the 840 Pro 128, and it's fast, but the 256 has a much faster sequential write speed and higher iops. The Evo does however let you use a new feature called Rapid Mode which is supposed to increase speed by using a RAM cache. The new drive is unproven, though. I'd go with the 840 Pro 256.
As for the video solution, I think $700-$800 is too much and probably not even needed. The $400 GTX 770 has amazing bang-for-the-buck; hell, my 660 Ti plays all the new games on highest settings with decent frame rates, and the 770 is a lot more powerful, about like a 680. I would avoid SLI setups; even if it works well, it's more power used and more heat/noise created. The real value of SLI and CrossFireX is for people who can only afford maybe a $250 760 right now, but later when they can afford more, they can just spend another $250 and have an great setup instead of buying a $700 GTX 780. So I would go with a single GTX 770 now, and later if for some reason you feel it isn't doing the job, it's still feasible to SLI with another one, and you'll have a Titan-killing beast. And you have the power supply to handle it if you do eventually SLI.

Perfect.

So the 256 is the best.

That's why i got that monster of a power supply if i ever need sli in the future.
If i stgarted to upgrade and to spend so much money why not have all the options available
And i bought that power supply like an 'investment' .
I don't want to hear in the future upgrade the question if my psu will handle it :)

Yeah so i think this is the best route.
Get the GTX 770 and in the future when they get dirt cheap why not to experiment with another one.

And one more thing about the 770.

Is this one better overall ?
Not because of the 4 gb of vRam.

I mean build quality, do you know anything about the Gigabyte if they also use a custom PCB and better VRM like Asus does ?

Yes, I believe the Windforce cards are highly regarded, they have "Ultra Durable" components and serious cooling for stable overclocks. In my research it was a toss-up between Gigabyte and Asus, but I ended up buying an EVGA GTX 660 Ti Superclocked+ 3GB because it was the best 660 Ti available locally (I hate ordering online because the carriers always beat the crap out of packages and if your stuff is damaged you get to play the blame game for a few weeks until somebody admits fault, or possibly they blame you). Mine has a "reference" design cooler (blow dryer squirrel cage) which under load is loud & cool or quiet & hot. I did consider water cooling it, but by the time I get around to it it'll be time to upgrade to a GTX 880 or whatever. With Windforce or DirectCU I don't think it would be necessary to water cool because they run cool & quiet already.
