Next year PC maker iBuyPower is planning to embrace Valve's Steam OS and release its own Steam Machine. Seen below in prototype form, iBuyPower's upcoming Steam OS-running 'console' looks a bit like a PlayStation 4, design-wise, and packs an AMD processor (likely an APU) and AMD Radeon R9 270 graphics card (in contrast, Valve's own Steam Box prototypes have Intel CPUs and NVIDIA GPUs), and a 500 GB hard drive.

The iBuyPower Steam Machine also has a glossy white chassis with a customizable light bar, and is set to cost $499 (as much as an Xbox One). The Steam Controller wasn't mentioned but it's likely at least one will be bundled.

as technically an eastern european from the country right below rcoon's(?) romania, i'm not sure what kind of cake that is, something italian? based on my google attempts of the filename

That's an italian classic pastry :)

It's called "diplomatica" as in diplomatic.

What country is right below Ireland? Sadly I'm not from Romania, I just travel a great deal :D

EDIT: I guess both Ireland and Romania could be mistaken for Gypsylands, so I understand the confusion.

Now you guys got me hungry for cake :peace:

did i say steambox, everything seems fuzzy to me

Mind = Bronies

Dead on arrival. Too limited for PC gamers, too alien for console gamers.

a tight case, steam OS, for those that dont want to get the OS & build themselves, it's just another option?

the valve prototype & this ibuypower one are very horizontal, clearly designed for 'the tv room' & its cabinets/shelves/etc, while the existing HTPC cases seem much more cubic shaped, & regular towers are just that, towers
