G.SKILL International Co. Ltd., the leading high performance memory designer and manufacturer, is excited to announce the release of a high performance, high capacity DDR3L SO-DIMM 16GB (2x8GB) memory kit at 2133MHz! Requiring only 1.35V of low operating voltage with a timing of 11-11-11-31, this Ripjaws SO-DIMM memory kit will provide a much needed performance boost to your small form factor PC or high performance laptop.

The following is a test screenshot completed on the GIGABYTE BRIX Pro (GB-BXi7-4770R), showing fast processing and stable performance. Dubbed the F3-2133C11D-16GRSL, this Ripjaws DDR3L SO-DIMM memory kit is best used with the latest Intel i5 and i7 Haswell processors. Let the overclocking begin!

These would be for APU powered laptops. 1600 MHz. DDR3 for a CPU is not a system bottleneck.

But it is a mental bottleneck, so nice to see G.Skill release this set.

Just because a component "is not a system bottleneck" doesn't mean it can't speed up the system, it just means that it's not slowing other components down. This is most often expressed by gamers, as applied to a slow CPU "bottlenecking" the GPU, causing a lower frame rate than otherwise possible. Gaming isn't everything, and some of us actually use our PCs for other tasks, things which benefit from fast RAM and CPU overclocking. Posters to enthusiast forums often talk about PCs as if gaming is the only thing that matters, and that's a narrow-minded attitude considering the possibilities of a high-end machine. TechPowerUp members are generally more diversified in their understanding of those possibilities, and not just a bunch of boy gamers gushing over the latest releases. That's why TPU is the best place to go for real info about everything, and why it's my favorite tech site. And we have Jorge....

I think people are forgetting that these are SODIMMs, as in, for laptops and really small form factor computers. I don't think overclocking is the goal for these DIMMs. Additionally, I would like this a lot more if it was regular desktop DIMMs @ 2133Mhz @ 1.35v.

2133 @ 1.35V smells like 2800 MHz + on OC. Waiting for mine to arrive.
Can you make a review? :D But keep that N2 canister close. I can already feel the smell of overheating silicon. :)))

That's the plan. I actually expected to have review for launch, but samples were delayed. No big deal though, when they arrive I'll have a review quickly. I got a nice little ASRock Haswell-based HTPC with OC capabilities to test with. ;)
