Windows 8.1 Update 1 Leaked

Saying win8 is bullshit is just an opinion, Win 8 is just a change to what we are used too when when it comes to windows OS, win8 is a good OS.....
its a good os but for Mobile Devices not Desktop..

Fixed your mistake. Works like Windows 7 on the desktop.
everything is good except the Metro UI. i hate it.i cant use it as fast as i want with mouse.
i prefer the Windows 7.

I installed 8.1 from a ISO, so there are some out there, I really like 8.1, and i have just installed update 1 yesterday which went smoothly with no problems at all.

I like win 8.1, i have had zero issues, and to me with metro disabled, it is just a fast and reliable as win 7.

Now that is a well thought out post.

It is for Desktop too, I mean I installed http://startisback.com/ and I forget that the Start Screen exist, I have an OS that has both new Start Screen and has the good old start menu that I love, boots to desktop and the corner actions are disabled, I telling you Windows 8 is a great OS you just have to accept the change and adjust it to your preference. :)

"CHANGE IS INEVITABLE IN LIFE"

Agreed! With Start8 and ModernMix, or any of a dozen W8 mods out there, you can operate on the desktop as if it was W7 unless you WANT to occasionally use the start screen. Plus you get all the great improvements in the OS itself, so it's a total win! The Start screen UI may not be pleasant to all, but there are alternatives people really should look into so as not to miss out on a really good and stable OS.

"there are win 8.1 ISOs out there..." and "MS has made a publicly available downloadable patch to owners of 8.0 to upgrade directly to 8.1, or install bare metal to 8.1 with their 8.0 serial" is an entirely different thing. There is no official patch that a home user or small business user can apply to multiple machines. No, they must "windows update" gigabytes again and again for each machine for each reinstall.

Unofficial ISO hacks might be out there... but that isnt the point. MS is not supporting the process in the right way.

Don't use 8 or 8.1 at all, what was that nsa thing in 8.1?.... but do have to test it in vms, and set it up on client's computers. Just got a brand new laptop for a client, he just hates win8, I put classicshell on it, now he's getting along much better. And his laptop has a touch screen! I will admit, it is a fast os, but too many little things about it bug me.....
