ASUS Radeon R9 295X2 Graphics Card Pictured, Pricing Revealed

Yes, as evidenced by the price of $900 for a card on Newegg 4 months ago now going for $600. Like I mentioned, used 290x's fetching sub $400 on eBay... I wonder how many miner wanna-be's have thrown in the towel. I just wish I was in the market for a 290x right now, the 7870 is still good for everything I play.
4 months ago profits are double what they are today. I wouldn't of bought a gpu for those prices for mining then, but I could see how some could. Today the difficulty has risen A LOT from all those new miners, and prices are also down probably because all the new miners sell as soon as they get any coins. Today though, miners I doubt would pay those prices.

It was bound to happen, like it happened with bitcoin.

Anyway miners go for the cheap route, the difference between this and two separate graphics cards can buy you another platform.

2: A Radeon 295X2 is significantly cooler under load than even a single GTX 780 Ti. Nvidia has very efficient air cooling, but the cards still operate at a max temperature of about 84 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the 295X2 doesn’t crest above 60 degrees Celsius while under heavy load. And gone are the days of your 7990 blowing hot exhaust back into your chassis — with an assist from Asetek, AMD got the thermals right.

Pretty much what I've come to expect from dual Hawaii, nothing more nothing less.

Impressive package nonetheless.

I have two Radeon R9 290X cards but it doesn't have any difference with R9 295X2. I think they are the same and I had two Titan Black cards but it didn't have less performance than TitanZ.
Titan Z is 2 times faster than Titan Black but 3 times higher price but R9 295X2 is 2 times faster than R9 290X and 2 times higher price. so as a gamer, I prefer R9 295X.

Hell better than nVidia's 3k price tag that's for sure lol ( as you said ).. How ever price is high before release so what is actually going on here.
