NVIDIA, the world leader in visual computing technologies and the inventor of the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), renewed its data centre partnership with NTT Communications, leveraging the ICT solutions company's Hong Kong data centre facilities as NVIDIA's data hub across the region. NVIDIA has also selected NTT Communications' Arcstar Global Leased Line Service to extend its business connectivity throughout the Asia Pacific region. The extended service provides NVIDIA with high speed point-to-point Ethernet leased line with up to 10Gbs capability, which is delivered over an automatic re-routable cable network. This offers its regional hub in Hong Kong dedicated, secure and reliable connectivity with its offices in Asia Pacific and across the globe.

Tony Chang, NVIDIA APAC IT Infrastructure Manager said, "We have always had a longstanding relationship with NTT Communications that has grown over the last six years. Its high quality data centre has been instrumental in helping us house our data assets, while providing reliable support for business continuity across the region. In particular, we value the role the Professional Services team has played in guiding us through the relocation and migration of IT equipment.

Under the Nexcenter global data centre brand, NTT Communications in Hong Kong provides NVIDIA with dedicated facility equipped with high-power and cooling capabilities, as well as fully-redundant infrastructure that is capable to minimize possible outage. This provides NVIDIA with a high level of uptime to support its IT equipment, ensuring business operations are available across the Asia Pacific region.

Chang stated, "Business continuity is critical for our company. The proven quality of NTT Communications' ICT services, together with its total data centre solution for our mission critical application and flexible service offerings have been the key reasons for our selection. We are happy to extend our partnership with NTT Communications Arcstar Global Leased Line Service, a clear testament to our faith in the ICT solutions provider."

NVIDIA will leverage NTT Communications' Global Leased Line to help boost its business communications, enabling reliable service when connecting to its offices in other regions. The secure private network is also backed by Asia Submarine-cable Express (ASE)1 and PC-12 for an ultra-low latency path to the rest of the world.

David Wong, Executive Vice President, Sales Division, NTT Com Asia added, "We are fully committed to providing our clients with integrated and fully-tailored solutions towards growing their business. NVIDIA's decision to implement our international Ethernet leased line service in addition to our data centre services speaks volumes of their trust in us as a global ICT solutions provider. NVIDIA is a thorough customer and we look forward to supporting the company in its future growth."

1 Asia Submarine-cable Express: A high capacity submarine cable system connecting key financial hubs in Asia.
2 PC-1: A high capacity, low latency submarine cable system running between Japan and the U.S.
