Incorporating the newest NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT/GTS and GeForce 8600 GT graphics processor which deliver superior cinematic resolution and high performance acceleration for today's demanding 3D graphic applications. The MSI NX8600GTS/GT and NX8500GT Series are the best choices with the most sensible prices for the most complete solution for the 3D and video application market.

The NX8600 series includes various state-of-the-art technologies such as the NVIDIA Lumenex Engine which delivers stunning image quality and floating point accuracy at ultra-fast frame rates. Microsoft DirectX 10 Shader Model 4.0 for great gaming experiences, and OpenGL 2.0 to ensure top-notch compatibility and performance for all OpenGL 2.0 applications.

The newest NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT/GTS and GeForce 8500GT also has support for 128-bit floating point texture filtering for high dynamic-range (HDR) lighting effects. With HDR, twice the precision of prior generations for incredibly realistic lighting effects. It also now comes with support for anti-aliasing. It can light objects close to the way human eyes catch color in the real world. While the NVIDIA IntellisampleT 4.0 technology provides outstanding visual quality through gamma correct rotated grid antialiasing and advanced anisotropic filtering, its support for normal map compression enables more lifelike characters and environments.

In addition, the MSI NX8600GTS/GT and NX8500GT Series include NVIDIA PureVideo technology and Hardware Decode Acceleration, provides ultra-smooth playback of H.264, VC-1, WMV, MPEG-2 HD and SD movies. I love MSI products. Granted, I havent messed with them since I replaced my MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum nForce 250GBS mobo (crazy ocer and awesome stuff there). Seems like they made a nice niche in graphics cards too.

One of my friends has that mobo. It was absolutely awful to start with, but I think a BIOS update has fixed most of the problems, but it's still put me off buying MSI a little bit considering how well my ASUS works.

MSI make nice graphic cards. Its good to see a manufacture goes beyond reference design.
