The Stilt Drives AMD FX-8370 to 8722.78 MHz

Finnish overclocker "The Stilt" overclocked his brand new AMD FX-8370 to a record-breaking 8722.78 MHz. The target was achieved using a base-clock of 276.91 MHz, and a multiplier of 31.5x, core voltage of 2.004V, and DRAM frequency of 1107 MHz (2214 MHz DDR). Other hardware included an ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z motherboard, and 2x 4 GB of AMD made DDR3 memory. The setup was cooled by a liquid nitrogen evaporator. Impressive.

Maybe Globalfoundries managed to squeeze some process improvements into their 32nm process for AMD to use in these new models(Although theres not much else hinting at this)

Its kitchen roll paper I think, which is normally used for things like these to soak up the condensation(which forms as a result of the low temperatures) that could otherwise short out the motherboard.

That's exactly what I thought I expected to see one module (2 cores) and the rest disabled as usual but NO all 8 core enabled that's totally wicked
