NVIDIA Rolls Out GeForce 344.48 WHQL Game Ready Driver

I have been pining for real AA forever since the Q3A days. Then they went to crap cheater edge AA because the software load jumped ahead of the hardware speed.

woot my 680 has a new feature :P

You dont own a Nvidia GPU hence your presence here is not welcomed.
What about mine?

I will make sure to let Nvidia users know this so we avoid flame wars on new product release, and new drivers, and whatnot.

:D

Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR). From driver or from this experience crap?

So basically is just a fancy word for SuperSampling right? Like in the Shadows of Mordor game or Witcher 2 (Uber Sampling)?
No you dont need geforce experience, its a driver feature - global profile.

Its the same like oldschool downsampling with extra smoothing factor.. Also its just for games, not usable @ desktop scenario (too blurry, still).

My DSR profile was still set to 'Off' after installing the driver. I manually enabled every DSR Factor(33% Smoothness) and it works fantastically on my 2x580w3GB and 1200p monitor. GF Experience does show the recommend DSR Factor in the Optimal settings too.

To be honest this DSR thing is overrated.
You can do the same thing by adding custom resolution in nVidia panel and enable monitor scaling.
You only have the extra smoothing option , which basically blurs the final image like carp.

Well it won't be enabled by default, you manually enable it like you manually add custom resolutions :)

I just enabled x1.2 - x3.0 and then select that resolution in game. Dont use geforce experience, I have nvinspector for that.

I will have to try that.

i was doing that 3 years ago dude....

So I got around to trying that with 1920x1200 native. It simply doesn't look as good at 2560x1600 custom, and 3840x2400 entirely refuses to work.

DSR, no support for windowed gaming, sometimes I want to keep an eye on downloads, etc. I'd like to run 2400x1350 in a 1600x900 window. Seems like an impossibility, if you think about it. Maybe by "fullscreen 2400x1350" but then the nVidia driver lies to the game, and it's actually windowed.

your aim was to quote someone, get a reply from them and you feel some kind of accomplishment from that?

wow you are easily pleased....

If that is what you think... then you completely missed my point, well done!

you made a point?

wow it was subtle....

Down sampling is now a feature?

getting more and more like apple nvidia [and AMD] xD

The huge fucking slide wasn't a giveaway?

what you think i mean amd are any better?

fuck me you are way off the mark there dude, christ xD

of course amd now need this "feature" too as that is the way the market works....

the issue i have is that they are still selling old rope as new and most people do not realise this has been around for years.

Couldn't agree more, which begs the question why all their cards apparently won't be getting support for it.

reading between the lines about the nda getting pushed back i think that might be the reason for it. so they can add support to all the gcn cards which are capable enough.

that being said nv released it on maxwell only at first and only recently added support for older cards so...who knows.
