Lite-ON, leading developer of enterprise flash storage technology, announces the debut of its new EP1 Series M.2 PCIe Gen 2x4 solid-state drive at Dell World 2014 in Austin, Texas. Dell World draws thought leaders, subject matter experts, and IT professionals from around the world who come to learn about new trends, technologies, and how Dell and its partners are working to advance the world of information technology.

Lite-ON's EP1 Series drives are compact, power-efficient solid state solutions that fit directly in a server's PCIe bus to increase server application performance while delivering fast and reliable access to data without burdening host CPU and memory resources.
EP1 drives deliver superior speed with 4KB random read and write performance of up to 150,000 and 44,000 IOPS. With ultra low latencies of 40/30 μs, the EP1 ensures the quickest and most consistent command response times in the industry.
EP1 drives also feature power loss protection, multiple layers of data protection, and customized firmware that make them a perfect fit for mixed use environments and application workloads such as online transaction processing (OTP), financial transactions, E-commerce, SQL logging, collaboration, and email servers.
Lite-ON will also be exhibiting its full range of server solutions, which include the N9S read-intensive SATA SSD, the NAS mixed-use SATA SSD, and an M.2 PCIe SSD configured for mixed use environments.
All Lite-ON drives offer consistent high performance and lower power consumption for the most demanding hyperscale environments and specialized groups of users. Lite-ON drives have a mean time between failures (MBTF) of 2 million hours and an endurance rating of up to 1 drive write per day for 5 years, one of the highest reliability rankings in the industry.
