The whole purpose of these giveaways is not for any user's particular benefit. The entire point of these exercises is marketing. The general idea for giveaways is that it brings more traffic to both TPU's website, and facebook page, as well as provide positive marketing for Gigabyte. More traffic means more ad monies for TPU, which means W1zzard gets to keep the servers turned on. It also provides Gigabyte with income, as it puts them in the public eye, and provides more sales. The cost of this single GPU giveaway is paled in comparison with the benefits that both TPU and Gigabyte gain from hosting it. Everybody wins, including one lucky person. Facebook isn't the only place that takes all your personal information anyway. If you have a bank account, and phone line, a mobile contract, a broadband contract, you're private information is already forfeit. Use Google for searches? All your information is collected and tracked.

The way I see it, if I'm going to be datamined, I'd rather have the chance to get a little something back by entering one of these.
