With a WQHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a super short response time of just 1 ms, the 27" (68.6 cm) AOC Q2778VQE is not only ideal for enjoying fast-paced games and movies in full detail. Professional users also benefit greatly from the impressive screen real estate, e. g. while working with complex multi-window applications or high-resolution imagery.

Display specialist AOC's new WQHD monitor AOC Q2778VQE boasts a 27" (68.6 cm) TN panel with an aspect ratio of 16:9, wide viewing angles (170° horizontal / 160° vertical) and a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. This way, computer games can be enjoyed in significantly richer detail than with standard Full HD monitors. In addition, entertainment users in particular benefit greatly from the extremely short response time of just 1 ms, which virtually eliminates ghosting effects. This way, players and movie enthusiasts can enjoy crisp and clear images even during fast-paced, action-packed scenes. The monitor's super-fast DisplayPort input option is an ideal choice to transmit high resolution content in a particularly smooth way.

But also professional users can gain a significant boost in productivity from the AOC Q2778VQE. The large amount of pixels allows for more application windows to be displayed at the same time, which makes multitasking a lot easier. Thanks to the large 27" (68.6 cm) screen, all contents appear still big enough to be recognised without a problem. But also individual applications such as graphic programs benefit greatly from the higher resolution.

Photographers, for example, can let their photos come to live in incredible detail, and easily manipulate tiny details without needing to zoom in as much as with lower resolution displays. The monitor's high brightness of 350 cd/m² makes photos and other contents look even better.

Versatile and efficient
In order to give users a variety of options for connecting different image sources, the AOC Q2778VQE comes with DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI and
D-Sub connectors. This way, it is no problem to e.g. hook up a video game console and several computers at the same time.

The display's high performance and versatility do not come at the cost of sustainability. The AOC Q2778VQE comes with the clever energy saving features Eco Mode and e-Saver. The monitor also fulfils strict regulations such as EnergyStar 6.0 and TCO 6.0. As with all of its displays, AOC offers a 3 year warranty with on-site exchange service.

The AOC Q2778VQE is available now at a suggested retail price of 299 GBP.

These people not only lack enough intelligence but they are also blue - with hearts cold as stones.

How can you explain them that 27 inch is a shit size for a normal desktop monitor and that we need 4K on the smaller sizes - 17, 19, 21.5, 23.5, etc........

HOW???

btw, 27 - inch would be only appropriate for office monitor with very particular functions of the department where it is put in.

dafuq you on about? How is 27" a shit size for a normal monitor? You do know that most people still run 23-24" 1080p monitors right? at the same time loads of enthusiasts and visual content creators use 27" screens that don't game or live in an office environment

I dont think you have any idea what youre talking about....

I guess you can see waaaay more than normal human eye or you just sit 5 inch away from your monitor... either way - who ever "they" (your term) are - they will bring you 4K in 6'' phone screen soon - cuz many "eagle eyes" nagged that it is time to move past those old QHD 5'' screens - witch is ridicoulous and bizzare like as would be to nagg that Nicki Minaj need more ass... but I guess I am just blind as a bat and think that FHD is good in 24" and if more resolution will be there - then size must INcrease

Loads of enthusiasts.. yeah, if it had been true, we would have, for very long time, enjoyed 4K in all possible sizes. But hey no, those the same enthusiasts are minority and with whom the big companies play in whatever way they prefer. Ask Intel, for example, where the true enthusiast processors are. Instead, with every generation they look for more ways how to cut more 'enthusiast' functions...

Don't speak to me about enthusiasts.

Don't speak to me about enthusiasts.

And youre derailing the thread in your desperate attempt to rant and vent. Have you ever wondered if the hardware would be able to support 4k a 'very long time' ago? Also sometimes the consumers arent ready for such tech and releasing it would be pointless as nobody would buy it.

with that in mind, youre lucky to find even a handful of 17" monitors out that that do 1080p let alone anything higher for the soul reason that the desktop would look cramped and squished up. My understanding is that resolutions have to scale with monitor sizes otherwise we would all be running 4k on 13-15" monitors, 4K is best viewed where there is enough pixel density for it to stretch its legs and not shoved onto a claustrophobic tiny screen.

You ask people not to speak to you about enthusiasts yet youre going on about 4K which is obviously and 'enthusiast class/grade' feature. Hell, i dont even know anyone in my family or any of my friends who has a 4K supported Television let alone a sub 17" 4K supported monitor.

Why should the industry roll out 4k so early on anything less than a 23-27" screen when 90% of the population arent even going to buy it given how much it costs over a standard monitor?

I forgot about that for a second..... idk. 4k on phones looks nice but then again ultimately pointless and does nothing apart from drain the battery faster. If you use your phone to watch videos and other HD content alot then i guess you got half a reason to have that feature.

then again ultimately pointless

It is difficult to argue with so negative people. You tell them that you need something, and those stupid convince you that it is pointless and you don't need it.....

Who the hell are you to tell me what is pointless and what is not????

Well im not the one crying over spilt milk here about 4k not being available on 17" monitors, You call me negative but my replies are based on practicality, facts, logic and above all common sense - something that you seem to be lacking in :toast:

Who the hell are you to tell me what is pointless and what is not????

Im an Enthusiast, Im also someone who will waste precious hours of his days off surfing the interwebs looking at random PC stuff, to keep himself uptodate with tech.

Dont start talking shit to me about what I know or dont know when youre not even man enough to list your own hardware specs because i'll just take you for an idiot.

Your replies are based on the intention to protect what they are doing or one of those idiots who spoil the progress and of course, your eyes health is not that good if you don't need a monitor with quaility of smartphones'.

 I'm so confused. Is Sony saying those of us with 23 and 24 inch monitors are the minority? Really? Because I'm pretty sure we recently had a poll about it and many pages that followed and the end result was even this "enthusiast community had more than 50% on 1080 p and 23/24 inch. And some were even less than that.

Nope because you, those who think are enthusiasts, are the vast minority of the market and no one gives a damn about your preferences............. Ask Intel. ;)

27 inch is too big for a normal monitor. Most people use their phones, tablets or in the worst case some type of laptops.

If you have so high PPI on smartphones, you need to have equally high quality on tablets, laptops and those used by the true enthusiasts - the desktop machines with monitors or laptops with the same monitors.

What I am saying is that it makes perfect sense to have mainstream 4k 24 inch monitors and slowly growing all others - incl 17 inch.
For the sake of the quality of the viewing device.

Because my smartphone beats in quality all full HD monitors in the world.

OK, thanks for clearing up what you were saying.

However, and this is just information gathering, what is the purpose of such a high definition phone? I mean, it's a phone. It's used for web pages and lousy 720p YouTube videos. TIA.

Which phone? There is no purpose of high definition alone, it is more likely just a secondary result from being high ppi. Which you need in order to have higher quality image.... trying to match your 'retina'.

Well, taking photos and looking from time to time to my album, enjoying the beauty of such high quality screen, and many more. I bought it to escape from my old 240 x 320 shitty experience......

Yes.
But we are speaking why there are no 4k middle size screens..... 17-24 inch.

I'm sure gaming has a bit to do with it.. single gpu's are 1080p champs and even 1440p is really not so unreasonable for the most part but it really start to waver in performance from game to game past that. there is a lot of gamers that have no trouble affording 2-4 gpu's with a 4k or triple monitors but just don't want all the hassle.
even if your not a gamer there is also the question how often your getting that true 4k quality.. movies and shows are really just starting to transition into UHD.

Even if it is 5% of the time you are sitting, it is already worth it. But because the screen itself will be of higher quality, I bet you will enjoy it much more than that.
