Today NVIDIA Corporation introduced the NVIDIA GeForce 7200 GS graphics processing unit, a new, faster, entry-level GPU. GeForce 7200 GS is designed to offer a low-cost upgrade from integrated graphics solutions and is built for Microsoft Windows Vista operating system. The NVIDIA GeForce 7200 GS performs up to 50% faster than the latest integrated graphics solutions in common 3D benchmark tests. The GeForce 7200 GS GPUs provide full support for Microsoft DirectX 9.0, Shader Model 3.0, high dynamic-range (HDR) lighting support for advanced 3D realism, and NVIDIA PureVideo technology. Graphics cards equipped with the NVIDIA GeForce 7200 GS GPU are available today from e-tailers and retailers worldwide at aggressive prices under $50 and are being offered in PCs from leading OEMs and system builders.

no thanks, if i want entry level i'll just go get the 6200 on newegg for $40 that unlocks to a 6600

:wtf:, 7200GS !?!? :p,

lol, it doesn't even needs cooler.
like Eric_Cartman said, for a few more $ you could get a much better deal

It would have been a nice accomplishment had this supported DX10. While I do applaud them or making >$50 graphics card, wont be useful except for a normal mundane computer. Surfing Internet, email, web browsing, word processing. Maybe to watch a movie. But that is about all.

ok, but following that logic, since the 6200 uses the same NV43 core as the 6600, the 7200 may use the same G73 core as the 7600. For $10 more, I know what I would buy

neither

Yeah, I wonder how this would compare with 7300gs? And is there a reason they are doing this with the 8300gs right around the corner?

it isn't just about using the same core, the Leadtek 6200 on newegg for $40 unlocks almost 100% of the time(i've bought 10, and all 10 have unlocked), it is like the 9800SE and x800GTO2.

the 7 series never unlocks, nvidia has learned their lesson.

ah, well - you never know

I want one... I want to ghetto redneck a casefan on that video card somehow and see the temps... and then OC

i want two in sli :p

It doesn't even look to be sli compatible :D

the 7100gs was sli compatible, so i assume this will be too

they just don't use the sli bridge, they are so weak they don't need it

I mean who on earth will want to SLI 7100GS?

This card overclocks quite well. I've sold my HD2900XT and replaced it with the cheapest card I could find until I get my next high end.

I've overclocked the core from by 100MHz to to 550MHz. Thats a 22% increase. Will try 600MHz tomorrow.

Now I'm getting around 25 fps on team fortress 2 @ 640x480 with all settings on low. oooohhhh yeaaahhhh. :D

:(

604 / 608 stable. Thats + 33% on the core.
