GIGABYTE, the world's leading premium hardware brand, today released the FORCE K83, a new mechanical gaming keyboard featuring Cherry MX switches designed for incredible tactile feedback and durability, combined with its classical, minimalistic profile and solid build quality to make a perfect gear used in competitive gaming.

When choosing a keyboard, the accuracy and how well the fingers feel during gaming matter the most to gamers. The FORCE K83 serves exactly for those purposes by employing the premium quality Cherry MX switches, available in Red and Blue. In addition to superior mechanical accuracy, Cherry Red switches provide optimized responsiveness and low resistance for those looking for smoothness and whisper silence during gameplay; Cherry Blue switches offer an incredible feel to the gaming experience with a distinctive clicky tactile feedback. These switches are built to last over a lifespan of 50 million keystrokes for extra durability.

To enhance gameplay, the FORCE K83 features Anti-Ghosting across the entire keyset (NKRO), allowing gamers to dominate the competition with the versatility of actuating multiple keystrokes simultaneously without any conflict as every command is flawlessly registered and executed. The Win-lock key with independent indicator prevents accidental activation of the Windows Start function during gaming session.

Inspired by a classic, minimalistic design, the FORCE K83 trims away redundant decorations, keeping a modern, clean look. The island-style layout protects the keyboard from dropped crumbs or accidental spills that might damage the circuit board, making it easy to clean and spill proof. The keycaps are wear resistant with the laser etched key letters for prolonged and heave usage.

The FORCE K83 from GIGABYTE is a pro-gaming grade mechanical keyboard that employs the best selection of Cherry MX switches available for competitive uses. Its clean and compact profile makes it easy to carry around to LAN events and tournaments.

i like gigabyte stuff but with mech keyboards there is something the same... most of them look so plain ...
i'll stay with eSports hardware....

I prefer the plain looking keyboards like this. I just don't understand how they think they can call this a gaming keyboard, and that it can be used at LANs without backlit keys.

Umm... Dare I say it's the best looking keyboard I've seen in a while, and from Gigabyte no less.

Yes, I totally agree

Real gamers don't need backlights ;)

I agree as I also do not need it. It is just a nice feature when you game in low light conditions like I do. It looks nice.

And I agree it's useful, especially if it's used as a LAN kb. Seems on LANs there's always a need to do more typing than you'd think

My issue with led backlit particularly in mech boards, is that they always seem to fail. My bro's Corsair has several leds out, been that way for a while. Terrible for a $130 board :shadedshu:

But anyway, I do like this Gigabyte board, it looks very nice. My main problem with it however is that is comes with only red or blue switches; I wanted to go brown again. Using blues currently, and while I love my current Das board, I don't think I'll be going blue again for a while, as the wife hates listening to them. And the reds aren't my thing either.

When I shopped for a mechanical keyboard with backlit keys, there wasn't very much choice. I had to choose between Filco, Deck and Das. I really wanted to go Das, but they didn't have backlit keys; I don't know if they do now. My Deck keyboard has full functionality after 4 years. I have taken it apart only once to fully clean it.

I also bought the Filco for office work and it too has been nothing but a pleasure.

I never understand why you need to look at your keyboard while gaming. Besides, the monitor is bright enough to lit the keyboard.

well, my current board has no back lit, I do know exactly where all the keys are and as it was already said, screen's bright may help to see keys when needed,

I don't look down at my keyboard; I simply like back lit keys since it looks nice. I can adjust the level of brightness on my keyboard and I keep it on a very low setting.

Yeah, i really wanted a Ducky, but when I was shopping for a mech with backlight and brown switches it was impossible to find a v4 in stock. It's a bummer having to be limited by availability.

This is very nice keyboard, I like these type of keyboards.
But between Deck and GIGABYTE I choose Deck, if we talk about keyboards.

Looks like those chunky Dell keyboards. Really, really nice.

Why is it so hard for people to put a price on there things?
