Philips introduced the 275C5QHGSW AmbiGlow Plus monitor. This 27-incher is characterized with an ambient-lighting base that takes input from your display output. Under the hood, it features an LED back-lit full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) AH-IPS display panel, with 178°/178° viewing angles, 250 cd/m² maximum brightness, and dynamic mega-contrast. Display inputs include D-Sub and HDMI with MHL support. The monitor is expected to be priced around $350 (including taxes).

OMG lmfao, o my o why.

Ambigay Plus. For those about to rock the whole room!

Their added colour wall projection is quite nice, this however....idk what they were thinking.
Although I can imagine it being less straining for the eyes if you sit in a dark room and that base sends out a calm light source.

i have a philips 32pfl7406h and the ambilight works great, besides, on dark rooms the tv auto adjusts the brightness of the screen and the ambilight due to its embedded light sensor. price wise it was not much more than this one, and that was years ago
this so called monitor however would only make sense as a tv for small child room (at least they could play with the base color, it touch based).
talk about a step backwards...

For 300 i see on ebay a new Wasabi Mango 29" 21:9 2560x1080 so now Philips i charching for what?
The ambiglowlight and design?
27" 1080p is ok but you dont ask 350 for that is not right.

Well, I guess those overpriced rental stores (only 29.95/week for 144 weeks!) need more flashy junk appliances to sell - I can't imagine anyone else buying this...

I always thought ambiglow was a neat idea.

This is just ridiculous. Fisher Price designed this sh!t.
