Logic Supply Intros Perfection SR Line of Military-grade Fanless Desktops

Logic Supply launched the Perfection SR line of military-grade compact desktops. These fan-less desktops feature large heatsink body panels that let you use the machine in extreme temperatures. It is IP65 rated. Together, the top and bottom-panel heatsinks make up 2 kg of aluminium (1 kg on each side). Under the hood, is an Intel Core i7-4700EQ quad-core processor, 8 GB of dual-channel XR-DIMM memory, NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M graphics, and 64 GB SSD storage. Depending on the hardware, the Perfection SR should be priced at US $6,299 for the base model SR100, $9,286 for the middle-variant, and $13,783 for the top model.

if they would be military grade they should have rubber claps on the I/O connectors to protect from humidity or sand.... Otherwise... posing...

Connectors should really be some kind of extension meaning if you would remove the back panel (where connectors are), you could still see the real connectors which would not get damaged and you could only replace the exposed connectors on a back panel.

The whole series isn't IP65 rated, just the SR700, which isn't pictured here. Not all military grade installations require IP65 protection. Full details on each system here: http://www.logicsupply.com/company/press/perfectron/

The SR700 model does exactly that with M12 connectors for all IO.

Do they think that toss some Aluminum and put high price sticker will make it IP56? It's not even low level industrial grade. In my business which is by the way not very demanding regarding IP standards we use totally sealed computers and the connectors are hidden behind waterproof push up mechanism. This computer won't last for a day in any tough environment. An this PC worth no more than 2000$. Not a single dime more.

Seriously considering everything - 64 GB of storage that's laughable. You get mSATA/M.2 sticks in 500GB-1 TB size now. WTH is 64GB good for today? Even for most basic tasks in the field? Somebody really had brain fart with this.

I'm sure it's SLC NAND, in which that capacity is considered normal, acceptable, and "Military grade"
