If you are up for it - or better if your wallet is - you may pre-order the Optimus Maximus keyboard from the Art. Lebedev website, starting at 3PM Moscow time on Sunday May 20th. There will be very limited quantities available, with only 400 pieces being produced in 2007.

How's the software for the 3 key pad by now? If that doesn't work yet I doubt the software for its big brother will be any good.

No doubt. What was the price - I recall something like $1400 for this? The look of the keys sort of reminds me of a laptop. I certainly wouldn't spend over $1k on a keyboard without "feeling" it first.

And your XEON avitar is posessed.

So you'd spend $1000 or less without feeling it? :D

kinda weird to see something that I will never buy :D

Yeah $1400 sounds about right as I recall they said it was like $97 a key to replace them too. Also didn't some thing in the specs say the keys were only expected to last like 3 years??

Its gotta have a lot more curves than that for me to "feel" it for a grand.

It better have an automatic sammich assembler with a lunch meat slot.

I have a girlfriend. Free is-a-verra-nice.

hahah, you ain't kiddin. Besides this thing looks dumb anyways. I'll just stick with my $30 wireless mouse/keboard combo. It works just fine, thanks.

Eventually e-paper will make these sort of products much cheaper.

What so good about this keyboard???

The keyboard & mouse set you see above is my current set & it has all the bells & ends to go with it. as many hot keys as you'l ever need. even tho the art lebadev keyboard has a few hot keys on them I really cant see the point of buy one. Most people will either have a load of logitech or microsoft keyboards & most of the ones since 1998 have hotkeys so meh

IMHO a bit of a "go bark at the moon" situation

yeah, ok, no way would I spend that much on a keyboard.
